FSU football will send 4 players, including Tommy Castellanos, Darrell Jackson to ACC Kickoff

Florida State football announced on X that it will send quarterback Tommy Castellanos, defensive lineman Darrell Jackson Jr, defensive back Earl Little Jr and offensive lineman Richie Leonard IV alongside head coach Mike Norvell to the 2025 ACC Kickoff. The media event is set for July 22-24 in Charlotte, North Carolina, at the Hilton Charlotte Uptown. Norvell and players will speak to the media on Wednesday, July 23. Castellanos is in his first year with FSU and is well established in the ACC from his time with Boston College. Castellanos played his last two years in Chestnut Hill. Last year, he threw for 1,366 passing yards, 18 touchdowns, and five interceptions in the eight games played before Bill O'Brien benched him late in the season. He entered the portal by the end of the season and signed with the Seminoles in December. Since joining the team, he has emerged as a team leader, entering his final year of eligibility. Jackson is in his third year with the Seminoles and is expected to be the focal point on defense after producing 32 tackles, 4.0 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks, one pass breakup and one forced fumble. He made All-ACC honorable mention and after initially declaring for the NFL Draft, elected to return to Tallahassee for his final season. Both Little and Leonard joined the Seminoles program last year and went through an up-and-down season with injuries and adaptation to a new program. Both have earned praise from teammates in the offseason as leaders in their respective positions, which is reflected in their selection to represent FSU at ACC kickoff. FSU finished 2-10 last year. The Seminoles will open the 2025 season against Alabama on Aug. 30 at 3:30 p.m. in Doak Campbell Stadium. Need a break? According to 247 Sports, Timmons is ranked No. 32 cornerback in its composite ranking and No. 13 in his home state. At Pine Richland High School, he played both ways as a cornerback and wide receiver as a junior. On defense, he recorded 42 tackles, 10 pass deflections, four interceptions and three forced fumbles. As a receiver, he caught 40 catches for 755 yards and eight touchdowns. Advertisement Timmons is the 18th player to pledge for FSU in the 2026 class. FSU continues to build its momentum after landing four four-star prospects in the last three days. With 12 total four-star players, FSU leaped to No. 9 in 247 Sports' team rankings. Need a break?
