Al-Baha's diverse and rich contemporary cultural heritage
Folk arts in the southern regions of Saudi Arabia vary from one area to another, as cultural and geographical diversity has contributed to the emergence of distinct styles and expressions unique to each region.
In Al-Baha Region, people showcase their artistic identity by blending culture and heritage in ways that appeal to the preferences of visitors and residents.
Ali Al-Baydani, Al-Baha branch director of the Saudi Arabian Society for Culture and Arts (SASCA), explained that the region has 12 folklore groups with more than 350 members and participants from various governorates. He noted that the branch organizes special festivals for these groups, making them a prominent presence at national, social, and tourism events in the region.
