Virginia State Police Add New Ford Mustang Pursuit Vehicles to the Fleet

"Hearst Magazines and Yahoo may earn commission or revenue on some items through these links." Virginia State Police troopers took delivery of their new S650 Ford Mustang GT pursuit vehicles this week, the agency shared in a video on social media on Monday. The state of Virginia is already one of the strictest states in the country when it comes to speeding and reckless driving. Now, thanks to its newest fleet of 480-horsepower Mustang GTs, the state is about to make things even more difficult for those who violate traffic laws. VSP announced earlier in the year that they would be bringing the American pony car to the fleet. In March, they debuted the Mustang GT in VSP livery at an event at the Martinsville Speedway. And now these 155-mph muscle cars are in the hands of troopers across the state. The VSP Mustang is not only fast and powerful, but it looks pretty good too. The silver and blue livery adds some shark-like flair. For what it's worth, VSP recently took ninth place in the American Association of State Troopers' contest for the best-looking police cruiser. Of course, you might not think it looks so great if you see one of these in your rearview with its emergency lights on. The Mustang is not new to police work. State police agencies have been using Mustangs for over 40 years. And Virginia is not the only state to adopt the new S650 generation for police duty. North Carolina, South Carolina, and Kentucky are among the other states that use the newest Mustang as part of their fleets. VSP didn't release specific details about the options on their new Mustangs. They appear to be wearing the 19-inch Carbonized Gray aluminum wheels and the Brembo brakes from the GT Performance Package. However, the VSP Mustang does not have the raised rear wing that is also included in the package. However, what is clear is that these cars are equipped with the 5.0-liter Coyote V-8. CarDaddy.com to Host No Reserve Auction for Collector-Quality 1995 Ford Mustang GT Owned by Platform Founder

Cadillac, June 25, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- In a rare move that's generating buzz across the automotive collector community, Car Daddy has announced a No Reserve Car Auction scheduled for early July, featuring a highly sought-after 1995 Ford Mustang GT. What sets this auction apart is the ownership of the vehicle—this meticulously maintained Mustang belongs to Car Daddy founder John Beebe, who is offering his personal car directly to the public via the very platform he helped build. The vehicle, a striking 1995 Ford Mustang GT, is a collector-grade example with only 51,285 original miles. It features a 5-speed manual transmission and a powerful 5.0L V8 engine equipped with performance upgrades including a Steeda short-throw shifter, BBK headers, an off-road H-pipe, and a classic Flowmaster exhaust system. The car rides on authentic Cobra wheels and, according to Beebe, has been garage-kept throughout its life, with zero rust. Beebe commented on the decision to list the car on Car Daddy: "We are so excited to bring this Collector Quality 1995 Ford Mustang GT which features 5-speed manual transmission and only 51,285 miles on it. This vehicle is going live on their website in early July. Vehicle is my own personal car, it's been garage-kept, zero rust. Features 5.0L V8 – Steeda short-throw, BBK headers and off-road h-pipe. Real Cobra wheels and Flowmaster Exhaust. This vehicle looks and sounds amazing." Car Daddy has become a well-established destination for buying and selling used and classic cars online, offering users a streamlined and accessible platform to reach motivated buyers and passionate collectors nationwide. The decision to list a founder-owned vehicle at no reserve underscores the platform's transparency, trust, and commitment to serving the enthusiast market with integrity. Learn how their car auction platform works by clicking the link. The 1995 Mustang GT represents a key era in American muscle car history, marking the end of the Foxbody legacy and the rise of the SN95 generation. As values of 90s-era performance vehicles continue to climb, examples in original and well-preserved condition have become increasingly difficult to find. With performance enhancements that respect the car's heritage and no reserve pricing, this auction is expected to draw considerable attention from collectors and Mustang fans alike. Industry insiders note that this auction not only brings a desirable car to market but also reflects growing trends in digital automotive marketplaces—where transparency, seller credibility, and collector appeal intersect. The ability for buyers to bid confidently on a founder-owned car directly through a trusted platform adds a layer of authenticity that is rarely seen in online auctions. Car Daddy created its own car auction software in response to shifting trends in the automotive marketplace, where transparency, control, and speed have become key priorities for both buyers and sellers. Recognizing a gap in existing platforms—many of which imposed heavy fees, restrictive listing policies, or lacked real-time bidding flexibility—Car Daddy developed a system designed to give users more freedom and a better overall experience. By building proprietary auction tools, the platform empowers sellers to list vehicles with confidence and reach motivated buyers without the interference of middlemen. The move also reflects a broader market trend: consumers increasingly demand direct-to-user platforms that prioritize trust, ease of use, and verified inventory. With features built specifically for car enthusiasts and dealers, Car Daddy's auction software aims to meet that demand, creating a more streamlined and trustworthy marketplace for classic, used, and performance vehicles. Dealers are also able to list their entire inventory on Car Daddy's exclusive and proprietary auction platform. Founder of Car Daddy, John Beebe had this to say, "We have so many car dealers coming to us and looking for innovative ways to move vehicles. We built our own car auction platform to empower dealers to be able to sell their vehicles outside of their smaller geographically defined area. Car buyers, especially classic or exotic vehicle buyers, love auctions. The thrill of winning and bidding in auctions is unlike any other experience of simply going to the dealer lot and signing docs. Our pricing, is unlike any other in the market place as well. We help create economies of scale and help dealers get better margins." The auction is scheduled to go live on Car Daddy in early July and will run for a limited time. Given the no-reserve format and the car's documented quality and ownership history, early interest is expected to be strong. Enthusiasts and potential bidders are encouraged to register with Car Daddy to receive updates and preview the auction as it launches. At the time of writing, other vehicles on the auction include a 1981 Corvette Coupe, a 1979 CJ7, and a Classic 1967 Mustang. As the collector car market evolves, events like this underscore a shift toward more open, seller-forward transactions. Car Daddy continues to position itself as a destination where quality inventory, credible sellers, and passionate buyers can connect in a trusted online environment. ### For more information about CarDaddy, contact the company here:CarDaddyJohn Beebe(844) 771-0023info@ E 34 Rd #1 Cadillac MI 49601 CONTACT: John BeebeError in retrieving data Sign in to access your portfolio Error in retrieving data Error in retrieving data Error in retrieving data Error in retrieving data

Darwin Triple Crown Supercars: Opening race brought to halt after 15 seconds by monster crash

Don't miss out on the headlines from Supercars. Followed categories will be added to My News. A monster crash brought the opening race of the Darwin Triple Crown to a halt less than 15 seconds into a chaotic beginning of racing action. The usual tussle for spots out of Turn 1 led to tyre contact that sent Brad Jones Racing's Jaxon Evans flying into the barriers. A safety car was called as the number 12 Camaro, carrying a lot of speed, crashed into the barriers and was forced out of action with massive damage to the front. Then further up the track, Maculey Jones in his Pizza Hut entry was rear ended, spinning him a full 180 off the track into the grass. The race restart was equally as chaotic with Erebus' Jack Le Brocq losing a wheel following contact with Rylan Wood. A confrontation took place between the pair as they hopped out of their vehicles with Le Broq giving Wood, who had showed so much promise in practice, an ear full Richie Stanaway was also in the pits after a huge log jam forced another safety car out of the restart. Wood has made his feelings known on the official's decision to restart where they had causing mass chaos and ending his chances in the first race of the Darwin Triple Crown early. The safety car was in place after Jaxon Evans crashed into a guard rail out of Turn 1, but the ensuing restart caused a multi car crash down the straight. Kai Allen driver of the #26 Penrite Racing Ford Mustang GT during the Darwin Triple Crown. Picture:Wood's engine failed and his car slowed causing a mass log jam in the back end of the field with Jack Le Brocq's tyre bounding away from his vehicle. He said it 'was just one of those things' but made a dig at the decision to restart where they had rather than the final turn. 'We changed our safety car restart to go out on the last corner, but we still didn't go out on the last corner,' he said. 'So, if we keep doing the same sh-t on restarts the same stuff is going to happen.' Meanwhile, Evans said he was alright following the opening lap crash, which he felt he had been escorted into. 'Yeah I'm all good, bit of a sore foot but otherwise I'm all good,' he said. 'Didn't quite execute in qualifying and paid the price racing down the back. 'Felt like I got escorted there at the exit of Turn 1, interlocked wheels and sent me to the fence. 'The car is pretty heavily damaged and unfortunately won't be racing this afternoon.' FEENEY'S LOVE AFFAIR WITH HIDDEN VALLEY ROLLS ON Broc Feeney held off a determined chasing Cam Waters to take out his third top place finish from the past four races at Hidden Valley. A chaotic race start and a persistent clutch issue didn't put any brakes on the Feeney train as he held onto the top spot. Feeney said his clutch was going all the way to the floor and though he managed to wrangle it the issue did a number on his rear tyres. 'Super hard there, shame at the start (after the crashes),' Feeney said. 'Doing the speeds we were doing, the safety car couldn't pull away so I couldn't go to the straight and unfortunately crashes happen. 'I had a clutch issue for most of that race, it was super stressful didn't know how I was going to go.' ' I was hanging on for dear life, doing qualifying laps, looking forward to the ice bath post race.' Territorian Bryce Fullwood impressed in his home town return driving himself into fourth, his best result at Hidden Valley and a show of improving pace at BJR. Matt Payne secured himself another podium finish, and Chaz Mostert made up ground after poor qualifying, but Waters was the threat for Feeney from behind. Waters overtook Fullwood to deny him his shot at a first home podium and caught Payne as he put the pressure on to regain second.
