Philadelphia police searching for stolen car, man accused of sexually assaulting, abducting child
Philadelphia police are searching for a man accused of abducting and sexually assaulting a 12-year-old girl after stealing a car in North Philadelphia Friday night. According to police, a 12-year-old girl was sleeping in the backseat of a white 2010 Ford Taurus that was left running in the area of Germantown and Erie avenues at around 9:30 p.m. Friday. Investigators said a man with a thin build, wearing all dark-colored clothing, then stole the vehicle and drove away with the 12-year-old girl inside. Philadelphia police have yet to provide a photo or name for a potential suspect as of Saturday afternoon. Police were responding to the abduction and found a child matching the 12-year-old's description at Broad Street and Roosevelt Boulevard just after 9:50 p.m. Authorities said the child was brought to a nearby hospital for further evaluation. The white Ford Taurus has yet to be recovered. Philadelphia police ask anyone with information related to the case to call the Special Victims Unit at 215-685-3251 or to call the PPD tipline at 215-686-TIPS (8477)

Man seriously injured after hit by car on busy Dayton street
A man was hospitalized after being hit by a car in Dayton late Friday. James H McGee Boulevard and Rosedale Drive, according to an online crash report. The traffic light for the Taurus was green, the crash report said. Medics transported the 20-year-old man to the Miami Valley Hospital with suspected serious injuries. Janesville man charged with attempted homicide after hit-and-run incident
JANESVILLE, Ill. (WTVO) — Janesville Police arrested Kade Larson, 30, for allegedly hitting a motorcyclist on purpose. On May 12, around midnight, authorities were called to a hit-and-run crash near Pine Tree Plaza at 2900 Deerfield Drive. Larson was driving a Ford Taurus when he struck one of two individuals on motorized bikes, officials reported. Larson proceeded to flee the scene, according to a press release. The victim sustained significant injuries and was taken to a local hospital to be treated. After the investigation, police determined the crash was intentional. Larson was taken into custody and is being held in the Rock County Jail until his initial court appearance. Texas gang members sentenced for human smuggling after high-speed border chases
Two South Texas gang members have been sentenced for human smuggling, following a series of high-speed chases at the border that involved one of the gang members crashing his car into the Rio Grande and swimming to Mexico to escape. A Monday statement by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) said the two human smugglers, Juan Miguel Regalado, 28, and Samuel Grajeda Jr., 21, are members of "Puro Tango Blast," a local Texas gang. The two were sentenced on May 15 after being convicted of conspiracy to transport undocumented immigrants, following an investigation by ICE, U.S. Border Patrol Laredo Sector and the Texas Department of Public Safety. U.S. District Judge John Kazen imposed a 66-month sentence for Regalado, while Grajeda previously received a 30-month imprisonment as well as a consecutive six months for violating the terms of his supervised release for a previous alien transporting conviction. Both must also serve three years of supervised release. Both men admitted to involvement in the human smuggling conspiracy. Authorities followed the vehicle until another vehicle, a black Mercedes, cut them off. ICE said that the two vehicles were driven by Grajeda and Regalado.
