Bullets fired into Bradford home during the night, police investigating
Police in Bradford responded to multiple reports of gunshots in the area of Settlers Crescent on Wednesday.
It happened around 3 a.m., after witnesses reported a person wearing a black hoodie standing on the sidewalk holding a pistol-type weapon. Police say the suspect bolted off and hopped in a white sedan going southbound.
When officers arrived, they found multiple bullet casings on the boulevard and sidewalk in front of a home on Settlers Crescent.
Through investigation, several holes were found in a window and door of the residence, and it was determined that the holes were caused by bullets.
Police say the residence was occupied at the time, but no injuries were reported. Based on the information available, police believe that the incident is isolated and there is no risk to public safety.
The investigation remains ongoing by members of the South Simcoe Police Uniform Patrol, Forensic Identification Unit, and Criminal Investigations Bureau.
South Simcoe Police are appealing to anyone with information or surveillance footage from the area to contact the South Simcoe Police Street Crime Unit at 905-775-3311 ext. 1057.
