Fort Scott bridge repairs begin this week
BOURBON CO., Kan. — The Kansas Department of Transportation plans to begin a bridge repair project starting this week.
KDOT crews will work on the U.S. 69 bridge over Wall Street in Fort Scott, patching and resurfacing the bridge deck. Drivers can expect delays up to 15 minutes, as traffic will be one lane through the work zone. Crews encourage drivers and motorists to stay alert and follow posted signs.
The 1.5 million dollar project is expected to be finished by the end of December, weather permitting.
