‘Kingdom': Vijay Deverakonda's film postponed due to India-Pakistan tensions; new release date out
The makers of Kingdom, starring Vijay Deverakonda, have postponed the movie's release date. The Telugu film, directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, was scheduled to release on May 30, 2025. The makers said that the ongoing India-Pakistan tensions have made it difficult for the team to plan the promotions for the movie. The movie, produced by Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya under the banners Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Creations in association with Srikara Studios, will hit the screens on July 04, 2025. 'We explored every possibility to stick to the original date. Vijay Deverakonda's Kingdom release date postponed amid India-Pak tensions
Actor Vijay Deverakonda's much-anticipated film 'Kingdom' has been postponed. Originally slated for a summer release on May 30, the film will now hit cinemas on July 4. The makers cited India-Pakistan tensions following the Pahalgam terrorist attack of April 22, and Operation Sindoor - the 'recent unforeseen events in the country' - as reasons for postponing the Vijay Deverakonda shared the update on X, with a note captioned, '#Kingdom, July 04, 2025. Will see you in the cinemas (sic).'
