Fourth of July 2025: Where to watch fireworks in Indy
Friday is the Fourth of July, and Central Indiana is celebrating our nation turning 249 years old by filling the night sky with red, white and blue bursts of freedom that will probably freak out your dog. Zoom in: To make sure your holiday weekend is lit, here are 10 places to catch a fireworks show in the Indy area. Downtown Indy's Fourth Fest is back for a third year of celebrating at the American Legion Mall. A street festival featuring live music, food trucks and a kids zone starts at 6pm Friday. Fireworks, shot from the top of the building at 500 N. Meridian, start at 10pm and will be synced to patriotic jams aired on local Radio One radio stations. Organizers suggest the Indiana War Memorial Grounds and American Legion Mall as the best viewing spots. Victory Field is delivering baseball with a boom during its July 4th celebration Friday night. After the Indianapolis Indians and Louisville Bats game that starts at 6:35pm, stick around for a postgame fireworks show. The team will also wear specialty July Fourth jerseys that will be auctioned off to benefit Indianapolis Indians Charities. CarmelFest will pack two days of patriotism and partying into Carmel's Civic Square, and chairs are already lining the streets of the suburb as people pick prime spots for the parade that starts at 10am Friday. Catch livestream coverage of the parade here. The festival runs from 1-10pm Thursday and noon-10pm Friday. Fireworks, which start at 9:45pm Friday, will be synchronized to music on WHJE 91.3 All American Day in the Park brings fireworks to Beech Grove on Thursday night. The party starts at 5:30pm in Sara T. Bolton Park with food, music and WCWO pro wrestling, followed by fireworks around 10pm. Night at the Park in Avon is having pre-holiday fireworks as well. Food trucks, live face painting, pony rides and more get rolling at 6pm Thursday. Fireworks begin at 10pm. The Lawrence 4th Fest will kick things off at 10am Friday with a parade, followed by a fish fry, kickball games, a classic car show, food trucks, live music and more. The free event at Lawrence Community Park ends with a 40-minute fireworks show starting at 10pm. Fishers has a trio of fireworks shows around 10pm Friday during a citywide Independence Day celebration. Fireworks will be launched from the north parking lot of Hamilton East Public Library in the Nickel Plate District, from Cyntheanne Park and from the barge in Geist Marina. My Yellow Rickshaw is playing a free show at 8pm before the fireworks on the Nickel Plate District AMP stage. Noblesville will host a July Fourth parade downtown at 4pm Friday followed by a free festival in Forest Park from 6-10pm. Westfield Rocks the 4th at the Grand Park Sports Campus runs from 4-10:30pm Friday.

Here's our roundup of where you can catch fireworks in and around Indy in the coming week. The Fourth of July falls on a Friday this year, so there are firework shows leading to the weekend and beyond with a little bit of everything for everyone. July 3, Broad Ripple, 10 p.m. In its 51st year, the Meredith Smith Memorial Fireworks Show will light up the White River along Broad Ripple on the eve of the Fourth of July. July 3, All American Day in the Park Beech Grove, 5:30 - 10 p.m. Find food, music and fireworks at the Sarah T. Bolton Park in Beech Grove starting at 5:30 p.m. There will be a kids zone, wrestling, a DJ, and tons of food vendors. The fireworks show is set to begin at 10 p.m. July 4, Downtown Indy's Fourth Fest, 6 - 10 p.m. A high-energy street festival, live performances and a 20-minute fireworks show, Fourth Fest's free celebration is expected to draw nearly 25,000 people to the heart of downtown Indianapolis. Celebrations will kick off at 6 p.m. on St. Clair Street and American Legion Mall where food trucks galore, ice cream and beverage stands, and a Kids Zone will line the area. At 10 p.m., the celebration shifts skyward; those in the area can catch the fireworks display from the Indiana War Memorial Grounds. For those watching from home, FOX59 will broadcast the fireworks with multi-angle coverage. July 4, Indianapolis Indians, Louisville Bats Baseball, 6:35 p.m. The best of both worlds: baseball and booms. Snag tickets for the Indians' Fourth of July annual game, a tradition since 1996, when the home team takes on the Bats at the corner of West and Maryland. July 4, Lawrence 4th Fest, 10 a.m. - 10 p.m. Lawrence Fourth Fest offers a full day of activities. Whether you're in it for the parade, kickball games, concerts, car shows, or the firework display, this event has something for everyone. Additionally, a skateboarding contest featuring pro skater Casper Jones will occur at 4 p.m., and local performers will take the stage from 6 to 9:30 p.m. to keep the excitement going until the 10 p.m. pyrotechnics display. July 4, Benjamin Harrison Presidential Site Social, 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. Step into history this Fourth of July at the Benjamin Harrison Presidential Site. From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., guests can enjoy free festivities at the former home of America's Hoosier President. First-floor tours will be available along with jazz music by the White River Jazz Band. Balloon artists will be on-site as well as ice cream from LiftOff Creamery and Market Square popcorn. Registration is required at July 3-5, Star-Spangled Symphony, 8 p.m. The Fourth of July weekend gets a bold and brassy soundtrack by the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra at 8 p.m. for three nights in Conner Prairie. Complete with patriotic classics, guest artists, and a firework finale, this annual tradition offers a unique way to celebrate the holiday. The July 5 show will feature special pre-show festivities beginning at 6:30 p.m. with a concert by Indiana's only military band, the 38th Infantry Division Band. Children lawn tickets are $12.96 and adult tickets are $54. Tickets can be purchased at July 3-4, CarmelFest, 1-10 p.m., 12 - 10 p.m. This two-day festival in Carmel keeps the energy flowing into the night of July 4. July 4 will kick off with a parade at 10:30 a.m. that will feature marching bands, baton twirlers, fun floats, and much more. The parade sets up another day of activities and ends in a firework show that will commence at 9:45 p.m. July 4, Westfield Rocks the 4th, 4 - 10 p.m. Grand Parks Event Center will host a day filled with fun for all ages. There will be food, local retailers, kids' activities, live entertainment, and a 10 p.m. fireworks show to top it all off. July 4, Fishers Fireworks Shows, 10 p.m. Fishers Parks will have three fireworks shows from land, lawn and lake. Nickel Park District Amp Lawn Fireworks will start with food trucks and a free concert from local performer My Yellow Rickshaw at 8 p.m., and fireworks will shoot off from the north of Hamilton East Public Library at 10. Cyntheanne Park will offer an alternative spot to view fireworks away from the downtown crowds. The Geist Reservoir will feature fireworks on the water from the south end of Fall Creek Bridge for boat or waterfront property views. No viewing will be allowed from Fall Creek Bridge or Geist Marina. July 4, Noblesville's July 4th Parade & Fireworks Festival, 4 - 10 p.m. A long-standing Central Indiana celebration, the Noblesville Fourth of July parade, festival, and fireworks display is set to deliver a classic Independence Day in Forest Park. The parade will kick off at 4 p.m. and lead into the festival, which ends with a 10 p.m. fireworks display. July 4, Zionsville Fourth of July, 5 - 10 p.m. Zionsville Lions Park will host fun, food and fireworks starting at 5 p.m. The Lions Raffle offers a chance to win a $1,000 cash prize. July 3-6, Lights over Morse Lake, 11 a.m. - 10 p.m. Cicero, Indiana is gearing up for a full weekend of events like lakefront fireworks, carnival rides, a live music and talent show, face painting and kids' activities and hot air balloon rides. There will be pickleball, 3-on-3 basketball, cornhole, and bingo spread across the days. A parade will kick off July 4th at 11 a.m. and fireworks will take place at 10 p.m. July 3, Avon Night at the Park, 6 - 10 p.m. Avon Town Hall Park will host a free celebration, Night at the Park, with food trucks, a petting zoo (with pony rides!), and live music before setting off fireworks at 10 p.m. July 3, Franklin Firecracker Festival, 5:30 - 10:10 p.m. The Franklin Amphitheater will feature live music, food vendors, a beer garden, and a fireworks finale. Events kick off at 5:30 p.m. where the Franklin Community Band and Blue River Band will perform. The fireworks show is set for 10:10 p.m. July 4, Mooresville Pioneer Park, 6 - 10 p.m. Head out to the free celebration in Pioneer Park in Mooresville for live music, local eats and a fireworks show at dusk. This part-time position aids the District in the composting, bulb recovery, battery recycling, drop off recycling and/or electronics recycling programs. The official detour will follow Clay Street, Indiana 2 and Indiana 55. During this project, there will be daytime lane shifts and overnight lane closures as needed on I-65 in this location. The first overnight lane closures are scheduled to occur during the hours of 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Wednesday through Friday. Please be alert for changing traffic patterns on I-65.
