Lydia Moynihan: Trump Recognizes The Important Impact The Film Industry Has On The U.S.

New York Post financial correspondent Lydia Moynihan joins Fox Across America With Jimmy Failla to give her take on President Trump floating a new proposal which would impose a 100 percent tariff on all foreign-produced movies. 'I will also point out as well, when he's talking about Hollywood and films, I think he's using that as a catch-all to describe entertainment writ large, because there's a lot of TV shows. And let's be real, most of us are watching TV shows, we're not going to the theater at all. Also too, I mean when you look at some of the things that were nominated for the Oscars, I know this feels like ages ago but they were bizarre. I'm like, yeah we don't need more of that, we can tax those films. But I think he's talking about entertainment more broadly. And 'Suits' famously, I don't know I've been going down a Meghan Markle rabbit hole for quite some time and she talks a lot about how she lived in Toronto for a decade and that's been a long-standing thing. So it's not just the film it's all the tv shows too. And I think that's what he's getting at.' Jimmy and Lydia also talk about which celebrity might have given the president this idea about the film industry. Listen to the podcast to hear the full conversation!

Julie Banderas: It's Time To Bring Back Respect In This Country

Fox News Anchor Julie Banderas joins Fox Across America With Jimmy Failla to shed light on what inspired her to write the new children's book, A Monumental Mistake . 'This book is about respect, and honestly, I couldn't find a better time to be talking about respect because right now in this country, I mean, it's just awful. The adults and the teenagers and the college students, the protests, nobody understands how to respect one another anymore, and I don't think respect should be an old-fashioned thing. You know, you're saying, yes, ma'am, no, ma'am, that's just the tip of the iceberg. But just showing kids how to respect one another, respecting those who came before them, respecting history. I think that that's been lost. And I think there's just such a high level of hatred in this country that I believe parents are now putting on their kids and kids are taking it to school. Kids don't respect one another. They don't their elders. They don t respect their parents. They talk back to their teachers. It's disgusting. It's like an urgent crisis as far as I'm concerned, and if we don't do something about it fast, the next generation is going to be full of a bunch of brats, which quite frankly that's what we've got going on right now. So I feel like there's got to be like an emergency intervention to reverse the next generation from becoming even worse. So that's sort of the point of Monumental Mistake is, you know, just to tell stories to children, it's the best way to teach a lesson to kids is by telling stories.'
