Josh Duhamel Surprises Local Firefighters After Playing One Onscreen

Originally appeared on E! Online is highlighting the heroes in his community. The Transformers star surprised the firefighters at Los Angeles Fire Department Station 88 with a donation of $28,000 and a Bobcat utility vehicle (UTV) in recognition of their service to their community, particularly during the devastating wildfires earlier this year. 'I'm so proud and grateful for the work our firefighters do in this town,' he told E! News' Francesca Amiker in an exclusive interview. 'I think anybody who lives here understands how important they are to this community.' Having played a firefighter in the 2012 thriller Fire With Fire, the actor has long held the profession in high esteem—though he was quick to note that the real-life heroes are in a league of their own. 'Anytime you can meet the guys who do the actual deed, it helps you,' he explained. 'Playing a firefighter isn't quite actually fighting fire, so yes, I do learn from these guys. I really do admire them so much in the work that they do, so any chance I get to support them, I take that seriously.' 'Anything that they can do to help these tremendous, heroic firefighters get the job done, keep people safe and prevent these things from spreading any further than they can.' And the opportunity to give back has proven to be fulfilling for Josh as well. 'I just want to keep doing things that give me a purpose,' he shared. How Jennifer Lopez Is Preparing for Big TV Return at AMAs 2025

Originally appeared on E! Online Jennifer Lopez is getting ready to dance again for her next big gig. The "On The Floor" singer revealed how she's been preparing to return after a decade as the host of the 2025 American Music Awards at the Fontainebleau in Las Vegas on May 26. In fact, Jennifer exclusively told E! News' Francesca Amiker that she's been "rehearsing for a couple of weeks" on her first "big television performance in a while." "I took last year off and I went back in [and] my first thing was doing a movie," she explained. "So, this is getting back into my performance mode in a way." Emphasizing that she's "excited about that," she added, "We're going to be celebrating all the music of the year." And while Jennifer—who first hosted the American Music Awards back in 2015—wouldn't offer any more "spoilers" on her upcoming performance, she provided further insight into how she comes up with the concepts for her live gigs. Usually, the process begins with the Wedding Planner star throwing out some ideas to her longtime creative director Tabitha Dumo. More from E! "And then she comes with 1,000 ideas, and we sift through them and then we kind of wind up crafting exactly what I had in my mind." But not all of her concepts end up entirely the way they started. After all, Jennifer shared that her opening number for the ceremony has already transformed since they initially started practicing it. "It evolves as well over time," she noted. "Over the past couple of weeks, [it] started here, and it's now—it's at a different spot." Of course, Jennifer isn't only excited for her own return to the stage during the annual award show. The Shotgun Wedding actress is also thrilled to honor Janet Jackson with the Icon Award for her many achievements in the entertainment industry. "I've been a fan of hers for so many years," Jennifer gushed. "I had the privilege to work with her early in my career as a dancer, and she's just wonderful and has influenced me so much." And she's equally amped about watching Gloria Estefan celebrate five decades of her trailblazing contributions to music by performing at the event for the first time in more than 30 years. "She was such a pioneer for Latin music, and Latin music is now having probably its biggest moment in history, as far as crossing over and taking over the global market," Jennifer said. "So, it's a perfect time to honor a pioneer like her." While you wait for Jennifer to make her big return to the American Music Awards, read on to revisit her evolution through the years.
