Where Will ‘White Lotus' Go Next? Vegas Oddsmakers Have Some Picks
Could Cairo be the setting of "The White Lotus" season 4? Odds are in its favor, according to an analysis from Fans of 'The White Lotus' checked out of Koh Sumi, Thailand earlier this month as season 3 wrapped up with a dramatic finale. Now, the question that looms large among the show's audience: 'Where in the world will 'The White Lotus' go next?' Consistently set against a backdrop of stunning locales, the HBO hit has sparked a new wave of "set-jetting," inspiring motivating viewers to book real-life trips to places they see on the TV screen. Thailand felt the 'White Lotus' effect almost immediately. After the show announced its third season would film there, Expedia reported a major surge in flight searches: Chiang Mai up 65% year over year, Phuket up 45%, and Koh Samui up 30%. Since the season's premiere on February 16, has seen a 65% spike in searches for The Four Seasons Koh Samui, the luxurious resort that played host to the show's jet-setting elite. Previous seasons have been set on Maui in Hawaii and Sicily, Italy. Now, Vegas oddsmakers are revealing their top picks for where season 4 of The White Lotus will be filmed. The Sphinx by the Pyramids of Giza in the desert of Egypt. To compile the odds, analysts at a sports betting site, said that given the series has consistently been set at a Four Seasons location, they only considered destinations that have the luxury hotel brand's presence. Could the cast be venturing off to explore the 5,000 year-old pyramids of Cairo next? The odds are good, according to which placed Cairo, Egypt at the top of its list for the most likely 'White Lotus' location for season four. Four Seasons Hotel Cairo at Nile Plaza is located on the banks of the Nile River and is close to the Egyptian Museum, the Cairo Opera House and the Great Pyramids. Egypt is also home to Four Seasons Hotel Alexandria at San Stefano, a waterfront resort set in the 'Egyptian Riviera' along the Red Sea and Four Seasons Resort Sharm El Sheikh, which is located between a private stretch of Red Sea shoreline and the Sahara Desert. Perhaps giving more credibility to this pick is the fact that White has said he'd like the show to hit every continent. However, Europe could be destined for another 'White Lotus' season. HBO executive Francesca Orsi told Deadline back in February that the show would begin scouting locations in coming weeks, saying: 'We're going on some locations scouting in the next couple of weeks, so we'll know soon. I can't really say where we're going to land but chances are somewhere in Europe.' WESTLAKE VILLAGE, CALIFORNIA - APRIL 06: (L-R) Jason Isaacs, Sam Nivola, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Sarah Catherine Hook, Charlotte Le Bon, Nicholas Duvernay, Jon Gries, Tayme Thapthimthong, Aimee Lou Wood and Leslie Bibb attend HBO's "The White Lotus" Season 3 Finale Event at Four Seasons Hotel Westlake Village, California on April 06, 2025 in Westlake Village, California. (Photo by Jeff Kravitz/FilmMagic for HBO) The chances of a cold-weather or winter destination for 'The White Lotus' appear pretty slim, according to the analysis, which has Hampshire, United Kingdom and Norway lower on its list. Here's the list of locations that is predicting could play host to season 4 of 'The White Lotus.' No. 1: Cairo, Egypt (odds -150; implied probability 60%) No. 2: The French Riviera (odds +122; implied probability 45%) No. 3: Costa Rica (odds +150; implied probability 40%) No. 4: Mauritius (odds +400; implied probability 20%) No. 5: Los Cabos, Mexico (odds +400; implied probability 20%) No. 6: Hampshire, United Kingdom (odds +500; implied probability 16.7%) No. 7: Athens, Greece (odds +900; implied probability 10%) No. 8: Mallorca, Spain (odds +900; implied probability 10%) No. 9: The Bahamas (odds +1900; implied probability 5%) No. 10: Norway (odds +9900; implied probability 1%)

I'm a Luxury Travel Writer—These 6 Resorts Are Perfect for The White Lotus' Next Destination
If there's one show that understands the sometimes absurd nature of luxury travel, it's The White Lotus. I've been obsessed with this show since Season 1 —watching privileged, beautiful, and deeply dysfunctional people spiral into chaos at five-star resorts is my idea of top-tier entertainment. Season 3, set in Thailand, is particularly exciting for me. I've traveled there many times, including to update two editions of Lonely Planet Thailand, where I covered Koh Samui and Phuket. Seeing The White Lotus filmed in places I know so well—where I've reviewed beachfront resorts and spent my fair share of time sipping cocktails at infinity pools—only deepens my obsession. HBO's Francesca Orsi recently teased Season 4 might take us back to Europe. If this is the case, it would depart from what many originally expected. When the show was renewed for a second season in Sicily, the assumption was that each installment would take place on a different continent. With the first three seasons covering North America, Europe, and now Asia, that would mean Africa, South America, or Oceania were next in line. This is the trajectory I'd like to see. Because if there's one thing the series proves, it's that money doesn't buy happiness—but it does buy spectacular vacation settings for the rich to unravel. After more than a decade covering luxury resorts and staying at some of the world's most exclusive properties, I can confirm that high-end travel is as absurd as it is indulgent—just like The White Lotus. From safari lodges where sunset cocktails come with a side of existential dread to an Antarctic escape perfect for the ultimate luxury isolation spiral, these are the six destinations that deserve their own White Lotus moment. Africa has always been my favorite continent to travel to. It offers some of the most varied travel experiences imaginable, from epic wildlife encounters on the plains of Kenya to the vibrant coastal energy of Cape Town. With such a rich range of landscapes and cultures, I couldn't resist imagining the series finding its way into two of my favorite African countries. Straight out of a yesteryear explorer's fantasy, I could see Cottar's 1920s Camp in Kenya's Masai Mara in a future season of The White Lotus. Cottar's is an elegant safari lodge where time slows down and every detail oozes old-world romance. It's the kind of place where you wake up to the sound of elephants in the distance and spend your days tracking the Big Five on private safari drives. Guests stay in luxurious canvas tents with brass fixtures, Persian rugs, and antique writing desks that make you want to pen dramatic letters home about your life-changing safari. But the real magic happens post-game drive, when staff set up outdoor canvas bathtubs outside your tent, fill them with steaming water and bubbles, and hand you a glass of chilled champagne as the sun sets over the Mara. Fun fact: Mike White and his father, Mel, visited Kenya during Season 14 of The Amazing Race in 2009. Known for its dramatic scenery, gorgeous beaches, and glamorous resorts, Cape Town practically begs for a White Lotus storyline. The city also has a thriving LGBTQ+ scene, and the show has consistently woven intricate LGBTQ+ narratives into its storytelling—from Armond's chaotic downward spiral in Season 1 to Quentin's opulent but unsettling Sicilian escapades in Season 2. Perched high above Bantry Bay, Ellerman House is what happens when European sophistication meets South African soul. It's the kind of place where people check in for a week and end up staying indefinitely, thanks to a wine cellar stocked with 7,500 bottles, private art gallery tours, and an infinity pool overlooking the Atlantic. The setting is cinematic: a historic mansion with just 13 rooms, each with sweeping ocean views. It's easy to envision a future season unfolding against the backdrop of glamorous beach clubs and Michelin-starred restaurants in Cape Town. The city's blend of wealth, beauty, and simmering tension is the perfect breeding ground for whispered betrayals, tangled relationships, and costly misunderstandings over a bottle of South African Pinotage. I hope Mike White decides to set a season of The White Lotus in Oceania, the continent that also includes Australia. This stretch of the South Pacific is home to thousands of islands, including Bora Bora in French Polynesia, where ultra-secluded resorts feature overwater villas that hover above impossibly blue lagoons. Guests arrive by private yacht or seaplane, seeking an experience so exclusive that reality itself starts to feel like a mirage. It's the ultimate setting for rich couples attempting to "reconnect" (but inevitably breaking up) and solo travelers realizing that paradise isn't always what it seems. Bora Bora is almost offensively beautiful. The kind of place where you wake up in an overwater bungalow, slide open your glass doors, and step directly into the warm, impossibly blue lagoon. Mount Otemanu rises dramatically in the background, making every moment look like a scene from a dream. The Four Seasons brand is a White Lotus staple, so it's easy to envision the Four Seasons Bora Bora as the resort. Every detail is dialed to perfection—from the discreet personal butlers to the overwater spa bungalows where you can get a massage while staring down at tropical fish swimming beneath you. It's easy to picture Portia (Season 2) here, trying to convince herself that she's finally found peace, only to realize she's trapped on yet another stunning island with yet another fabulously dysfunctional boss (RIP Tanya) and an emotionally unavailable man. Australia offers some of the world's most breathtaking and remote luxury resorts—places where high-profile guests disappear into five-star sanctuaries surrounded by stunning natural landscapes. If the show ever landed in Australia, it wouldn't be in Sydney—it would be somewhere isolated, where the remoteness only adds to the tension. Qualia, a hyper-exclusive resort in the Whitsundays, fits the bill. Hidden on the northern tip of Hamilton Island, Qualia is an adults'-only, ultra-private, and accessible by helicopter. Think plunge pools overlooking the Coral Sea, a private beach, and a level of discretion that makes it perfect for high-profile guests who may or may not be on the run from something. If a future season of The White Lotus were set here, I'd expect backstabbing corporate elites, a honeymoon that goes terribly wrong, and a guest who disappears on a sailing trip—never to be seen again. South America blends old-world elegance with vibrant energy, making it a dream location for The White Lotus. It's easy to picture guests strolling through cobblestone streets, indulging in decadent meals, and getting tangled up in affairs that are as intoxicating as the local rum. Cartagena, with its mix of romance, mystery, and sultry heat, would be the perfect setting for a slow-burning disaster. Cartagena is the kind of place where history and hedonism intertwine, where salsa music spills onto the streets, and where the intoxicating mix of colonial charm and Caribbean heat makes every encounter feel just a little more charged. It's easy to picture a White Lotus plot unfolding here—perhaps an art dealer getting tangled up in something they shouldn't or a wealthy couple's long-simmering tensions exploding over too many passionfruit mojitos. Tucked inside Cartagena's historic walled city, Casa Carolina is a colonial-era hideaway with just 15 suites, private pools, and candlelit courtyards that practically beg for whispered conversations and secret rendezvous. If The White Lotus has taught us anything, it's that wealth and isolation are a dangerous mix. Nowhere on Earth is more extreme than Antarctica—where the ice is endless, the silence is deafening, and the remoteness practically begs for psychological breakdowns. The idea of The White Lotus filming in Antarctica is so ridiculous it makes sense. If Tanya (RIP) had survived, this is where she'd go next—draped in designer expedition gear, convinced she was 'roughing it' while sipping Krug champagne inside a heated space pod. White Desert's Echo Camp is an ultra-luxe, sci-fi-looking retreat set in the middle of Antarctica. The only way in? A private jet from Cape Town. The experience? Ice climbing, emperor penguin encounters, and gourmet meals prepared on a continent where nothing grows. If The White Lotus ever set a season here, it would be the ultimate descent into madness—paranoia setting in as the endless white landscape blurs time and reality. And obviously, someone would 'accidentally' fall into a crevasse.

Where is the next season of ‘White Lotus' and who's in the cast? Social media has ideas
Where is the next season of 'White Lotus' and who's in the cast? Social media has ideas Season 3 of "The White Lotus" just premiered on Sunday but viewers already have ideas for Season 4. HBO renewed the Emmy-winning anthology series last month ahead of Season 3, which focuses on a primarily new batch of wealthy guests and ill-fated staff at the glamorous hotel chain's Thailand resort. The first season took viewers to the White Lotus Maui resort in Hawaii while season 2 was in Sicily, Italy. Scouting for the next "White Lotus" setting is underway, HBO programming executive Francesca Orsi told Deadline while hinting at a European destination. Social media users recently shared some not-so-serious suggestions for the new location from various waterparks like Great Wolf Lodge in Pennsylvania to the Bass Pro Shops pyramid in Memphis, Tennessee. To further assist HBO with the production process, the internet also did the courtesy of casting who should star in the next season with some unprompted suggestions. Some picks include Phill Lewis, who played cranky hotel manager Marion Moseby on "The Suite Life of Zack & Cody" and Kim Cattrall, who played the fabulous Samantha Jones on "Sex and The City." Other playful picks include "The Traitors" reality star Gabby Windey to play the daughter of Jennifer Coolidge's character Tanya McQuoid. "The Last of Us" Might End with Season 4, HBO Drama Boss Hints
HBO's "The Last of Us" TV adaptation may only have a couple more seasons left before it concludes its story. "The Last of Us" is one of the most beloved video games ever made and a lot of that is due to its emotionally-charged story and beautifully written characters. The first game was showered in praise for its heart-wrenching story of a father who lost his daughter at the beginning of a zombie-esque apocalypse and is forced to take a young girl across the country. As he begins to forge a relationship with her, she essentially becomes his surrogate child. However, he learns that she may possess a cure for the infection plaguing the world, but it would cost her life and it's a price he's unwilling to pay. The ending of "The Last of Us" has sparked all kinds of discussions among fans for over a decade and the beloved TV series did the same thing as well. "The Last of Us" series was met with acclaim for faithfully adapting the game's rich story, likely partially thanks to the fact it was written and produced by game creator Neil Druckmann. Now, all eyes are on the creative team for "The Last of Us" season 2. The second season will adapt the highly controversial game sequel, "The Last of Us Part 2." While we won't get into why it's controversial here, fans will likely discover why that is early on and it's going to cause intense discourse. With that said, there are currently only two games in the series. The second game is quite dense and it's expected that "The Last of Us" TV series will adapt it across multiple seasons. The second game is already split into two distinct halves plus a lengthy epilogue, so this is probably the correct decision to make so everything has a chance to breathe. With that said, it sounds like HBO already has an idea of when "The Last of Us" will end going into its second season. The Last of Us Will Likely End With Season 4 Ahead of "The Last of Us" season 2's April premiere, HBO EVP Francesca Orsi told Deadline that the network is expecting to do three more seasons of the show, ending it at season 4. However, this isn't set in stone and it seems like HBO is willing to do more if needed, but as of right now, Orsi notes it's looking like it will be a four-season TV series. 'We don't have a complete or final plan, but I think it's looking like four seasons. I wouldn't want to confirm that, but it's looking like this season and then two more seasons after this and we're done.' Neil Druckmann has already confirmed that "The Last of Us Part 3" is in the works. However, it's seemingly in the very early stages. Naughty Dog's next game, "Intergalactic", was just announced at The Game Awards in December. The team has been working on it since 2020 and the studio also canceled an online version of "The Last of Us" in 2023. With that said, it seems unlikely anyone has been working on "The Last of Us Part 3" in any meaningful way in recent years. So, that means a third game is unlikely to be ready by the time HBO reaches the end of "The Last of Us" season 4. Showrunner Craig Mazin has noted they don't want to go beyond the games, so it's hard to imagine they try to make up their ending. After all, HBO already learned the hard way that's not always a smart idea when it ended "Game of Thrones". Of course, Druckmann is an instrumental piece of the show, so he could in theory tell the story of the third game in the TV series before the game is ready… but that would spoil the game. So, it's pretty unlikely that would happen. As of right now, we'll just have to see where HBO decides to take The Last of Us in its future seasons.
