Details of the motor attack emerged in the latest episode of a true crime doc charting the history of the long-running feud between Glasgow's notorious Lyons and Daniel gangs. Speaking exclusively to The Scottish Sun, investigative journo Livvy Haydock said: 'One source told us of yet another attack involving Jamie Daniel's son, Francis 'Fraggle' Green, in which a masked and armed man appeared in a van outside his gates. 'And then when the gate opens, Francis actually rams them so hard that they end up abandoning their vehicle. "So it feels like there's a lot going on.' And an insider said: 'Fraggle is no easy touch. "He'll always fight back. "But he's understandably on edge. "It's claimed he's now wearing a bulletproof vest.' The heightened tensions come amid a raging turf war that began in March when Dubai-based hood Ross 'Miami' McGill began targeting associates of caged Edinburgh kingpin Mark Richardson, 38. Jamie 'Iceman' Stevenson's right-hand man CAPTURED in Dubai after 5 Years on the run The carnage then spread from the capital to Glasgow where members of the notorious Daniel crew came under fire amid the worst escalation of gangland violence in years. So far Police Scotland has made 55 arrests under Operation Portaledge - a crackdown on the ongoing violence that's included firebombings and machete murder bids. Fears of worse to come had been brewing and then on Saturday, May 31, Lyons gang kingpins Ross Monaghan, 43, and Eddie Lyons, Jnr, 46, were shot dead in Spain, Fuengirola. Meanwhile, moves are afoot to bring one of Scotland's most wanted hoods - Stephen 'Jimmy' Jamieson - back from Dubai where he's been hiding out for years in a bid to dodge justice. A bonus episode of Gangster: The Story of the Daniels and the Lyons will be available to hear on BBC Sounds from tomorrow.

Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) COPS probing the vicious gangland turf war carried out a dramatic dawn raid yesterday on a home linked to top Daniel clan member Francis 'Fraggle' Green. A heavily fortified bungalow in upmarket Glasgow suburb Milton of Campsie was surrounded by four police wagons and other force vehicles. One cop was seen carrying a device used for battering down doors as the crack squad charged into the grounds of the property, which is connected to Green, 42. He's the son of late Daniel gang supremo Jamie and cousin of current boss Steven 'Bonzo' Daniel, 45. Green was also a close chum of murdered enforcer Kevin 'Gerbil' Carroll. Last night a neighbour who saw the police raid said: 'The whole thing only took 15 minutes. It was literally in and out. It was really fast. 'I don't know what that means and whether who or what they were looking for was there.' Another local resident added: 'I was shocked to see so many cops come out of nowhere. 'They certainly looked like they meant business but it was all over pretty quickly. "I have no idea if anyone was arrested.' It's understood the swoop was the latest action taken by cops in their ongoing fight against hoods involved in an underworld power struggle that has been raging across the Central Belt for more than two months. Championship official forced to shoo SNAKE off the course as it approaches player's ball in incredible scenes And it came weeks after we revealed that a business linked to Green was targeted in an alleged firebomb attack. He is one of several members of the Daniel family who have been targeted during the unprecedented campaign of violence. A garage in nearby Kirkintilloch, where he was once a director, was set ablaze last month. And on Tuesday the home in Drumchapel, Glasgow, of his sister Kelly 'Bo' Green, 45, was torched in another arson incident. She was partner of Gerbil, who was 29 when he was assassinated in a supermarket car park by Billy 'Buff' Paterson, 45, in 2010. The hitman for the rival Lyons gang was later caged for at least 22 years over the killing outside an Asda in the city's Robroyston. The current feud is being waged by a fugitive Scot dubbed 'Miami' who is said to be pulling the strings from his bolthole in Dubai. It's claimed he is furious about being cheated in a £500,000 cocaine deal by associates of the jailed Edinburgh mobster Mark Richardson, 38 — an ally of the Daniels. And underworld sources claim he has rejected peace talks with Bonzo, who is believed to have travelled to the United Arab Emirates. Last night a spokesman for Police Scotland said: 'Officers executed a warrant at an address in Milton of Campsie. "Enquiries are ongoing.'
