Dubai is getting a record-breaking luxury clock tower
Dubai has plenty of beautiful, record-breaking high rises.
And the emirate is all set to get another – the tallest residential clock tower in the world.
The project is a collaboration between premium real estate developer London Gate and Franck Muller, the Swiss luxury watch manufacturer, and is set to soar at around 450m once built.
It will include a 60,000 square metre bespoke façade inspired by Frank Muller's extremely intricate Aeternitas watch.
The unitised façade of the clock tower will be designed, engineered, manufactured and installed by Permasteelisa Group. Work on this one has already begun.
Once opened, it will also be the world's tallest branded residential tower.

Frank Muller Aeternitas Tower is expected to open in the Dubai Marina in 2027 and feature 649 branded residences, ranging from one-bedroom apartments to sprawling mansion duplexes.
The tower will be centrally located and overlook Palm Jumeirah, Jumeirah Beach Residences and Ain Dubai.
Shared amenities will include a gym, padel court, spa, yoga studio, swimming pool, cinema, music room and library.
Alessio De Mitri, Executive General Manager of Permasteelisa Group explained that the company has worked on several iconic regional buildings such as Coca-Cola Arena.
He said: 'We are delighted to have been appointed as the specialist façade contractor on this prestigious scheme.
'Permasteelisa Group began working in the Middle East in 2006 and since then we have completed over 50 projects, including many iconic buildings in UAE, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Qatar.
'The Franck Muller Aeternitas Tower will be a fantastic addition to our already impressive portfolio.'
