Whole Game- where you will have to restart from scratch if you die. Per Act- allowing you to reset to the start of the act. Bend Studio has warned that the trees in the mode are the deadliest threat in the mode. To survive the challenge, scavenge constantly while you avoid any reckless fights and give priority to the Tucker's camp early on for better weapons. Moreover, the mode is perfect for players who want true hardcore survival, where all the decisions would mean the game is over.
