Kentucky residents cautioned about fake toll and fine texts
FRANKFORT, Ky. (FOX 56) — Scam texts are still making the rounds, claiming to be from the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet. The messages warn about unpaid tickets or toll fees and threaten license suspensions if you don't pay up.
Officials confirm it's a scam—KYTC will never contact customers by text, only through the mail.

'Do not click any links. If you're in doubt about anything, reach out to us or to the agency you believe it's from. Make sure it's authentic before taking any further action,' Allen Blair, a KYTC spokesperson, said.
If you get one of these texts, report it to the FBI's Internet Crime Complaint Center or the Federal Trade Commission.
