Green Bay unveils high-tech incident command vehicle ahead of NFL Draft
GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – Authorities in Green Bay unveiled a new vehicle on Tuesday that is expected to help them during critical incidents. Specially built on a 2024 Freightliner M2 chassis, the City of Green Bay showcased its newly acquired state-of-the-art Incident Command Vehicle. Green Bay Metro Fire Department mourns passing of former Captain who served 27 years The innovative mobile command center is a joint purchase by the Green Bay Metro Fire Department and the Green Bay Police Department, addressing the need for updated Incident Command Vehicles for both departments, all while saving Green Bay taxpayers half a million dollars. Some of the key features of the new Incident Command Vehicle include three separate rooms with four slide-outs for enhanced space, up to 12 fully operational workstations with secure internet access, triple-redundant internet connectivity for uninterrupted communication, and five external surveillance cameras for improved situational awareness. VSP: Worker killed on I-81 shoulder after dump truck reverses over him
WASHINGTON COUNTY, Va. (WJHL) — A worker died after being run over by a dump truck on the shoulder of Interstate 81 in Washington County, Virginia. According to the Virginia State Police (VSP), the crash occurred on Monday around 2:30 p.m. on the shoulder of I-81 North at mile marker 30. THP: 2 dead after head-on I-81 crash in Greene Co. VSP reports a 2010 Freightliner M2 dump truck started to reverse while on the right shoulder of the interstate. The dump truck ran over a pedestrian who was also on the shoulder, according to state police. The driver of the dump truck and the pedestrian were working on the same crew, conducting shoulder maintenance. VSP identified the pedestrian as James Nunley, Jr., 43, of Marion.
