France's Wine Output Set to Climb 17% Though Wildfires a Threat
France's wine production may rise as much as 17% in 2025 compared with last year, when adverse weather hit growing regions across the country.
Output is expected to be between 40 million and 42.5 million hectoliters, according to the agriculture ministry's first estimates as of Aug. 1. That's 'significantly' higher than the 36.2 million hectoliters produced in 2024, and close to the five-year average.
