Why robot vacuum with 'superb' function is a game-changer for families and it's now on sale

Daily Mail journalists select and curate the products that feature on our site. If you make a purchase via links on this page we will earn commission - learn more As a mum to two young girls, I feel like I spend endless hours cleaning the house only for it to become instantly messy again. It can feel like a cruel joke, but such life with a Kindergartener and a newly minted threenager causing chaos. Mealtimes can be particularly frustrating with dropped crumbs reaching far and wide and the drips of milk splattering the floor feel personal, despite the best efforts to coax behaviours to avoid these very issues. While some families are militant with this kind of mess or maybe they rely on a dog to clean, my current saviour is a robot vacuum and mop and it's currently on sale with nearly $400 slashed from its usual price. What makes the Narwal Freo Z10 a great choice for a family with young children is that it not only boasts an impressive 15,000 pa suction power, but the intelligent mopping system is superb and what makes the robot really standout. The unit features dual rotating mop pads that delivers a deep and streak-free clean of the messiest, most dripped on wooden floors in my house. The vacuum function is great picking up everything from fine dust to small debris and it avoids tangles thanks to two side brushes which loosen hair and transfer to the roller brush. But it's the mopping capabilities where the unit really shines, tackling the biggest spills with ease, even if they've not been addressed as soon as they've happened. 20% off Narwal Freo Z10 now $1,608 Shop The robot uses the 'EdgeReach triangular mop extension' to clean hard to reach places meaning every nook and cranny is covered. The intelligent unit is very thorough and it monitors cleanliness, mopping the area again if dirt is still detected to leave floors sparkling. This is particularly important in my home when I seem to come across a fragment of squished banana or a squashed pea on a worringly regular basis. How long have they been their for? The navigation is a selling point too. The Freo Z10 uses advanced LIDAR navigation and the AI-powered tool mapped my home's layout quickly although it did initially confuse several rooms as one, not that it impacted the cleaning. You can select zones you want to address or block out no go areas you want the robot to avoid in the app, which is incredibly easy to use and to set up. This functionality is great in avoiding any long thread rugs or areas you haven't had time to tidy. As a pretty self-sufficient unit there's little upkeep meaning you have more time to enjoy yourself and worry less about cleaning up Unlike many entry-level robot vacuums, it doesn't bounce around but plots precise cleaning paths, it's very satisfying to watch if that's your thing. The Freo Z10 also avoids obstacles with impressive accuracy, you won't find it banging into furniture and it also avoids toys scattered across the floor, which is commonplace in my home no matter how hard I try to wage a war against it. This advanced navigation does mean that unlike other units I've tried it won't just clean a new space you pop it into, as needs to configure where it is in relation to the base unit, but if you map your home properly at the start this won't be an issue. The Freo Z10 isn't just helpful when it's cleaning, it's also efficient when it's done too. The self-cleaning base station handles mop washing, drying, and dirty water disposal. I've found that because the mop is so efficient I am emptying the dirty water and refilling the fresh water after every other deep clean but I'm more than happy to do that quick job for spotless floors. The need to empty the vacuum debris is much less frequent and obviously With advanced scheduling, you can plan ahead and set and forget to let the robot fit into your plans and you can turn it on when you're away from home, ensuring a tidy home upon your return. The Narwal Freo Z10 is currently on sale for $1,608, usually retailing at $1,999 which is a significant investment, although it's not top tier, but in my experience, you get what you pay for when it comes to robot vacuums and if you want to take advantage of the offer I'd move quickly. Most budget units just don't have the cleaning power required to tackle the mess less by the younger members or furry friends in the family. They get tangled or they get stuck and require assistance and often lose power and suction quickly. I'm all about outsourcing every parenting task that I can, I swore by the Snoo bassinet with my babies and now we're in that messy phase of life, the Narwal Freo Z10 is my current timesaver.

I Can't Believe Narwal Is Really Selling Its Robot Vacuums for $650 Off This Prime Day

Narwal isn't quite as well known as some of the other robot vacuums around, but it made a big splash at CES this year with its latest lineup. You can get some models for up to $650 off as part of Amazon's Prime Day sale event -- equivalent to 43% off the Freo Z Ultra. On the lower end, you can snag the brand's budget-friendly Freo X Plus for just $274.54 until Friday. One of the best Narwal deals going right now is the Freo Z10, a premium robot vacuum and mop combination released earlier this year. It's usually priced at $1,100, but you can grab it right now for nearly half off at $650. Narwal says its new DualFlow Tangle-Free System is perfect for homes with pets or long-haired family members. Also new in 2025, the Freo Pro is mid-range option from Narwal that still gets you a robot vacuum and mop all-in-one, plus the new DualFlow Tangle-Free System technology. It comes in around half the price of the Z10: $360, discounted from a typical list price of $700. The biggest difference is in suction power. The Freo Pro has 8,500 Pascal (Pa), a common measurement of suction in vacuums, while the Freo Z10 is nearly double at 15,000 Pa. The Freo Z Ultra was Narwal's flagship model in 2024, and it's still plenty capable here in 2025. It's typically Narwal's most expensive robot vacuum and mop combo at $1,500, but you can get it on sale for Prime Day at just $850 -- a 43% discount. The Freo Z Ultra doesn't have the Tangle-Free technology that comes with the 2025 models, but you'll still get 12,000Pa of suctioning power. Hey, did you know? CNET Deals texts are free, easy and save you money. Currently discounted to $340 (32% off), the Freo S20 Pro isn't a robot vacuum -- you'll have to push it yourself -- but it's still pretty smart. Narwal says the all-in-one, cordless vacuum mop cleaner has AI integration built in that automatically adjusts cleaning intensity 'based on the amount of dirt detected.' If you're going to be cleaning up heavy-duty messes, this might be preferable to a robot vacuum, anyways. With 20,000 Pa suction power, it's one of the most powerful vacuum cleaners in Narwal's lineup. The cheapest robot vacuum in Narwal's Prime Day sale, the Freo X Plus is currently on sale for just $275 -- more than $100 off its usual list price of $275. While it's an entry-level option, the Freo X Plus still packs a pretty strong punch when it comes to suction power at 7,800 Pa. Narwal also says it's one of the quieter robot vacuums you'll find, producing 'just 71dB compared to the 85dB industry average.' Best Prime Day Robot Vacuum Deals Check out our collection of top Prime Day robot vacuum deals so you can save time and money in addition to keeping your floors clean. See Now Why this deal matters Robot vacuums can be expensive -- seriously expensive. If you were on the fence about shelling out for a new one, saving as much as $650 could be a difference-maker. Since many of Narwal's devices will mop your floor in addition to vacuuming it, this is as close to automated house cleaning as it gets.

I tried the NARWAL Freo Z10 Robot Vacuum and Mop, and it changed how I clean my home forever

If you want a cleaner home without the hassle of having to do it yourself, then I have the ultimate solution for you. I recently received the new incredible NARWAL Freo Z10 Robot Vacuum and Mop and it has not only given me a spotless home, I suddenly have extra time to do the things I actually enjoy instead of cleaning the house. NARWAL's Freo Z10 features a DualFlow Tangle-Free System, which addresses one of the most persistent challenges in robotic vacuum maintenance — hair entanglement. This innovative robot vacuum and mop currently retails for $2399 on Amazon Australia. This system uses dynamically moving side brushes that agitate and loosen hair, which is then transferred to the roller brush. A powerful 15,000Pa suction system effortlessly draws the debris into the dustbin. This design is especially beneficial for pet owners or those with long hair, reducing the need for frequent manual brush cleaning. Beyond hair management, the Freo Z10 excels at cleaning hard-to-reach areas. Its mop head is engineered with the ability to extend and swing dynamically, allowing it to reach tight corners and under cabinets. It applies up to 8N of downward pressure, ensuring it scrubs away stuck-on grime and dirt that typical robot cleaners might miss. What I also love about my new robot vacuum and mop is how easy it is to set up. I am not a technical person, and it was honestly a breeze to use. What sets the Freo Z10 apart from many of its competitors is its self-maintaining base station. This base goes beyond simple charging. The machine cleans the mop heads using adaptive hot water, self-dries them to prevent mould or odour, and even self-cleans internally. With the capacity to store dust for up to 120 days, the system eliminates the constant need to empty dustbins or wash mops manually, delivering a truly autonomous cleaning performance. The robot's 15,000Pa hyper suction is coupled with a smart particle sensor that continuously adjusts suction power based on the detected level of dirt. This ensures the Freo Z10 responds in real time to varying floor conditions, removing up to 99 per cent of debris. The mopping function is equally advanced, using dual spinning and scrubbing mops to tackle dried spills such as jam, coffee, or ketchup. After the initial pass, a dirt sensor evaluates the cleanliness and prompts re-mopping in areas that remain dirty, ensuring a consistently spotless result. Navigation and obstacle avoidance are managed through highly accurate front and side sensors. These sensors detect and navigate around obstacles with millimetre precision, enabling the Freo Z10 to clean right to the edges without bumping into furniture or getting stuck. It integrates smoothly into smart home systems and responds to voice commands through Alexa, Siri, and Google Home. However, it's worth noting that the device supports only 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, not the faster 5GHz frequency. The NARWAL Freo Z10 is not just another robotic vacuum — it is a comprehensive cleaning system that saves you time and stress. Perfect for those who expect the highest level of convenience and performance.

Narwal Launches the Freo Z10 for Tangle-Free Hair Cleaning and Spotless Corners

The New Robot Solves Common Cleaning Challenges, Designed With Detangling System and Full Corner Coverage Technology KIRKLAND, Wash., April 8, 2025 /CNW/ -- Narwal, the international leader in smart home cleaning, launched its Freo Z10 model today, introducing a game-changing DualFlow Tangle-Free System and MopExtend paired with EdgeSwing technology. Narwal's latest innovation boasts professional washing, analyzes the pain points of housekeeping, and leverages industry-exclusive features to create an autonomous home maintenance experience. "Although the robot vacuum industry continues to evolve, we've observed that users still encounter challenges when using robot vacuums," said Junbin Zhang, CEO of Narwal. "Common issues such as brush roll tangling, side brush entanglement, and difficulties in cleaning corners and edges often require additional time and effort from users. As a response, the Freo Z10 is not just an incremental industry upgrade; it elevates the home-cleaning experience through advanced technology. Narwal's new robot effectively eliminates hair tangling and ensures flawless edge and corner cleaning, which are common pain points for other robot vacuums. It's the self-sufficient, smart solution that consumers have been waiting for." Narwal Introduces DualFlow Tangle-Free System, MopExtend and EdgeSwing Technology Narwal's Zero-Tangling roller-brush system has been proven effective in tackling hair entanglements, but side brush entanglement technology has been an ever-present difficulty for households with pets and long-haired family members. Narwal's engineers have made strides to refine the side brush design, creating a movable side brush mechanism to actively work against hair build-up. By allowing the side brushes to shift dynamically, the Freo Z10 loosens trapped hair and guides debris to the suction port, preventing it from wrapping around the brushes. Working with Narwal's single-arm roller structure, this innovation seamlessly creates the fully integrated DualFlow DeTangling System for a one-of-a-kind tangle-free cleaning experience. The MopExtend and EdgeSwing Technology are designed to tackle hard-to-reach spots like wall edges, corners, and even kitchen toe kicks. EdgeSwing technology equips the robot's extendable mop, applying 8N of downward pressure. This combined approach delivers significantly better cleaning performance than simply extending the mop outward. When approaching hard-to-reach corners of the house, it extends the mop and moves backward for full coverage. "Narwal's systems are advancing, ensuring powerful, comprehensive, tangle-free cleaning for an effortless user experience because we know this is what matters most to our user base," said Icey Bin, Head of Product GTM at Narwal. "The Freo Z10 is the most detail-oriented, comprehensive smart home robot – underscoring our commitment to performance and innovation. Our team develops robots that fit the needs of the modern home while also achieving breakthroughs when addressing common industry pain points. Narwal continues to upgrade what users can expect out of their cleaning routines." Additional Intelligent Designs for a Superior Clean The robot includes a 120-Day Hands-Free Self-Empty Base Station, which compresses debris into a 2.5L bag, requiring disposal just two to three times per year. AI-adaptive cleaning adjusts mop washing temperature between 113℉-167℉ based on the type of dirt detected, eliminating 99.99% of bacteria—all while operating at a whisper-quiet 71dB. The Narwal Freo Z10 reimagines home cleaning with a suite of cutting-edge features designed to eliminate hassles and minimize manual intervention. Boasting 15,000Pa Hyper Suction Power, the Freo Z10 captures over 99% of particles on carpets and hard floors, ensuring a powerful, single-pass clean. Its Tri-Laser Millimeter-Level Obstacle Avoidance system cleans along objects within 5mm and recognizes hazards as low as 1cm. The robot navigates seamlessly in the dark, avoiding obstacles without using a camera for enhanced privacy. This ensures precise cleaning without collisions. Pricing and Availability Consumers can experience the Narwal Freo Z10, designed to alleviate the burden of everyday home cleaning, with an exclusive pre-sale offer from April 8 to April 27, 2025, in the U.S. and Canada.
