Highlight to host Seoul concert in July

Highlight will hold three shows in Seoul from July 13, agency Around Us announced Tuesday. The band will be hosting the stand-alone concert 'Ride or Die' about a year after 'Lights Go On, Again.' The concert title comes from the lyrics of 'Chains,' which fronted Highlight's sixth EP, 'From Real to Surreal.' With the single co-written by Lee Gikwang, the foursome came in first place on a television music chart show. The mini album consists of four tracks, including the prerelease 'Endless Ending.' The band decided to drop it under its previous team name Beast, rights to which it earned back after nine years. The Seoul show will kick off an Asia tour of six cities in the region: Taipei, Macao, Manila, Tokyo, Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur.

HIGHLIGHT comes back as BEAST after nine years

17 Apr - Nine years after they had to change their name from BEAST to HIGHLIGHT, the K-pop group announced that they are going to be using their original name for their new music. After reaching an agreement with their previous agency Cube Entertainment to use the BEAST trademark again last year, HIGHLIGHT announced that their new track "Endless Ending" will be released under the original name. Sharing the good news on social media on 16 April, the group posted the image of their new mini album and wrote, "HIGHLIGHT THE 6th MINI ALBUM [From Real to Surreal]. 2025. 04. 28. 18:00. BEAST X HIGHLIGHT - Endless Ending PRE-RELEASE! 2025. 04. 16. 18:00." "Endless Ending" is a song that compares a past relationship to a movie ending, and it melts the regret over the ending of a breakup and the longing for past memories. It is noted that the group, consisting of Yoon Doo-joon, Yang Yo-seob, Lee Gi-kwang, and Son Dong-woon, made their debut in 2009 as a six-member group that include Jang Hyun-seung and Jong Hyun-jung. In 2016, the group changed labels from Cube to Around Us Entertainment and had to change their name to Highlight due to trademark issue. (Photo Source: WowKorea, Kpopping)

Highlight announces new release

Highlight will bring out the boy band's sixth EP, 'From Real to Surreal," on April 28, agency Around Us said on Wednesday. In advance of the full release, the group will drop B-side track 'Endless Ending' on April 16. The band teased the album at a fan concert in Seoul last month through a trailer video. It also shared snippets of the prerelease and the main track at the show. The four-piece act's latest release comes about a year since fifth EP 'Switch On.' The previous EP propelled the launch of the 'Lights Go On Again' tour, which took the band to five cities in Asia after three days of shows in Seoul last year. The Seoul gig was the beginning of a monthslong tour celebrating 15 years since the band's debut and was made into a concert film.
