Fujifilm is raising the prices of its cameras again

Just two weeks after raising the prices of its cameras by up to $800, Fujifilm is warning customers about another increase for US customers. In a statement provided to DPReview, the Japanese company says it will 'further adjust prices' as it contends with 'volatile market conditions.' The change will go into effect on August 30th, but there still aren't many details about the specifics, including how many cameras or lenses it will affect and how much prices will increase by. Fujifilm tells DPReview that the price hike won't impact the newly-released X half and X-E5, which are priced at $850 and $1,699, respectively. Last month, President Donald Trump reached a trade deal with Japan that will subject imports from the country to a 15 percent tariff. 'As we navigate the current market situation, Fujifilm is doing all we can to work with our retailers and consumers to weather this storm together,' the company's statement says. This 4.5-star lens that's capable of going from landscapes to telephoto wildlife without lens swaps is finally coming to Canon and Nikon mounts

The Tamron 18-300mm f/3.5-6.3 Di III-A VC VXD is a highly-rated travel zoom that packs 16.6x of zoom versatility into a single lens – and now the lens is finally coming to the Canon RF and Nikon Z mounts. When the Tamron 18-300mm lens originally launched in 2021, it was the first such lens to achieve a 16.6x ratio. But, the APS-C lens initially launched for just the Fujifilm X and Sony E Mounts. Now, however, Tamron is bringing that versatility to the Nikon Z and Canon RF mounts, the company announced on August 07. The Tamron 18-300mm f/3.5-6.3 Di III-A VC VXD is an all-in-one lens that can capture wide angles and telephotos – and everything in between – without lens swaps. That versatility extends even to half macro with the lens's maximum 1:2 magnification ratio at 18mm. The lens is optically identical to the previous X Mount and E Mount variants, which Digital Camera World's reviews team gave 4.5 stars. There are some differences to the newly launched lenses, however. The Canon RF mount variant has an AF/MF switch as well as a stabilization on and off switch. The lens uses a linear autofocus motor designed to balance speed and noise from the motor. In DCW's tests of the earlier mounts, the design proved to offer a quick, efficient autofocus performance, including effective subject tracking. The optically stabilized lens is constructed from 19 elements in 15 groups along with a seven-blade circular aperture. As a crop sensor lens, the lens delivers a full-frame equivalent focal length of 27-450mm (28.8-480 on Canon RF). The lens offers moisture-resistant construction, as well as fluorine coating on the front to help protect the glass. Despite the large zoom range, the lens weighs around 22oz / 625g for the RF mount version and 22.4oz / 635g for the Nikon Z variant. The lens will take up about a five-inch slot in a camera bag and accepts 67mm filters at the front. Both the Nikon and Canon mounts can also be updated using Tamron Lens Utility when new firmware is released. The Nikon Z Mount variant of the lens will be available beginning on August 28, with the Canon RF mount to follow on September 26. The lens retails for $629 / £529 / AU$1,149. The once most-overlooked Fujifilm camera might become my favorite

Right now, there are five Fujifilm cameras that are using the exact same 40MP sensor. So picking the right one for you can be confusing, but fret not. Most Fuji cameras offer similar results, and your choice might come down to just the form factor. The good news is that Fujifilm's latest camera, the X-E5, is packed with top features in a form factor that has won me over. This year, the X-E5 grew in size and price, but it is also getting features that are on par with many of Fujifilm's mirrorless cameras — high megapixel sensors, in-body stabilization, and a great video mode. But there is a lot more to talk about when it comes to this compact powerhouse, which has become my favorite travel camera over the last few weeks. Go check out the video for more. Fujifilm adds the new X-E5 to its mirrorless digital camera X series

Having gone TikTok viral with its other camera models, Fujifilm is once again setting the internet abuzz with its all-new X-E5, the latest in its X series offering outstanding image quality in a compact and lightweight body. Image courtesy of Fujifilm. While the X-E5 retains the classic style of the X series, it is the first in the series with a top-plate that is carved from a single piece of metal. The distinct tapered design on the rear of the top plate helps to enhance the metallic texture while improving the operability of the dials for a seamless and comfortable shooting experience. Much like its X series siblings, the X-E5 is built with a Film Simulation dial that is newly designed with a precision-cut indicator window that minimises the gap between the dial and body for an exact finish. You can also individually set Film Simulation and image quality settings to the FS1-FS3 positions to easily save your own FS recipes. Inspired by old film cameras, the X-E5 is equipped with a retro and minimalist 'classic display' mode with information displayed simply on the electronic viewfinder. Image courtesy of Fujifilm. It is built with a new Surround View function too, that displays the area outside the shooting range as a semi-transparent or line pattern according to the aspect ratio. While looking through the viewfinder, you can easily switch between these two modes using the lever, which also helps to change aspect ratios and adjust the digital teleconverter magnification. The X-E5 has also improved the detection accuracy of the gyro sensor and adopted a new algorithm that enhances responsiveness to camera shake. It even comes with powerful image stabilisation for comfortable shooting across a wide range of scenarios. Image courtesy of Fujifilm. When it comes to shooting, the camera features a digital teleconverter function that allows 1.4x and 2.0x zoom levels. Equipped with the high-resolution 'X-Trans CMOS 5HR' sensor, the X-E5 is able to zoom with minimal loss of image quality and deliver high resolution images while maintaining a high signal-to-noise ratio. Additionally, the electronic shutter can be set to a shutter speed of 1/180000 seconds at the fastest, allowing you to have highly precise control of exposure time. Image courtesy of Fujifilm. Like some models of the Fujifilm X series cameras, the X-E5 is built with a rear tilting monitor that can be flipped upward and forward, facing up to 180 degrees to accommodate a wide variety of compositions, from high to low angle, and even selfies! Seeking video shooting functions? The X-E5 has got you covered with its ability to shoot in 6.2K/30P resolution as well as provide a tracking AF function during video recording to ensure high-quality and smooth footage.
