Fukra Insaan aka Abhishek Malhan goes too far: Roasts Sufi Motiwala, drops homophobic slurs & sparks backlash

Did you get the tea around Sufi Motiwala and Fukra Insaan? If not yet then tune in, because this week in Desi Internet Drama, things got spicy. Picture this, a drama between a top-tier YouTuber, and a fashion critic known for his bold reviews, and then comes roast video which went very wrong. Yes, we are talking about none other than Abhishek Malhan, aka Fukra Insaan, who just landed himself in boiling hot water after roasting fashion influencer Sufi Motiwala, and not in a funny, cheeky way. In a deeply problematic move, Fukra Insaan took his jokes down a dark alley and started hurling homophobic slurs. Fukra Insaan and Sufi Motiwala controversy explained It all started when Triggered Insaan got married to Ruchika Rathore last week, and Sufi being the persona that he is, had to mark his attendance by reviewing their looks. And the Malhan family clearly did not appreciate this. And now, in a recent roast uploaded to his channel, Malhan referred to Sufi with degrading terms like 'Yeh kaun ladka hai? Ladki hai? Praani hai?' and even used the outdated and derogatory slur 'chakka'. The internet was not laughing. But trust Sufi Motiwala to never let a cheap roast go unchecked. The man came back swinging. On both Instagram Stories and a fiery video, Sufi called out the YouTuber for promoting casual homophobia to his millions of impressionable followers. He stated that someone with that kind of reach should at least be educated enough to understand that this is not OK — not in 2025, not ever. Sufi Motiwala's DMs are filled with homophobic slurs And guess what? Things escalated fast. According to Sufi, ever since the video dropped, his DMs have been flooded with hate messages, around a hundred of them, to be exact, all echoing the same slurs used in the video. He accused Malhan of not only being ignorant but also actively fuelling hate through his fan pages. Not a good look, sir. Sufi didn't mince words. In his words (paraphrased), he believes that homophobia is not just ignorant, it is dangerous. Especially when someone as influential as Fukra Insaan normalises it for his young fanbase, who then treat bigotry as a punchline. Sufi Motiwala's content While the fashion critic is often seen splitting opinions with his brutally honest celeb reviews, this time, the internet seems to be firmly on his side. And rightly so. When a man stands up not just for himself but for an entire community that faces homophobia every day, that is more than just a clapback, that is activism in glitter boots. Sufi Motiwala is not just serving looks. He is serving justice, confidence, and a giant middle finger to outdated mindsets. As he cheekily put it, this moment was a total 10/10 and honestly? We totally agree.
