Nahyan bin Mubarak inaugurates Inclusive Library at Future Rehabilitation Centre in Abu Dhabi

2 June 2025 19:09 ABU DHABI (WAM)Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence and Honorary President of the Future Rehabilitation Centre, officially inaugurated the newly developed Inclusive Library at the Centre's campus in Abu event took place in the presence of Khaldoon Al Mubarak, Managing Director and Group CEO of Mubadala Investment Group; Mohammed Abdul Jalil Al Fahim, Chairman of the Future Rehabilitation Centre; alongside dignitaries from Mubadala, representatives of various institutions, students, educators, and staff, highlighting a shared national commitment to inclusive education and community this occasion, Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak stated, 'The inauguration of the Inclusive Library at the Future Rehabilitation Centre is not merely a ceremonial event, but a clear expression of our collective commitment to building a society that values every individual and equips them with the tools to learn, innovate, and contribute meaningfully to the progress of the nation.'The late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan laid the foundations for a society rooted in justice, compassion, and human dignity. Today, under the wise leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, we carry forward this legacy, guided by a national vision that places human development at its core, prioritises inclusive education and ensures that People of Determination are fully integrated across all aspects of life.'He added, "In alignment with the Year of the Community 2025, announced by His Highness the President, the Inclusive Library stands as a living embodiment of that vision. It is a space that fosters belonging, sparks curiosity, and affirms that every person in this country has a role, a voice, and an opportunity to thrive. I would also like to express my sincere appreciation to Mubadala Investment Group for their support and active contribution to this impactful project. Their efforts reflect a deep commitment to education, empowerment, and social responsibility, values that are central to our national identity.'Khaldoon Al Mubarak, Managing Director and Group CEO of Mubadala, stated, 'The inauguration of this Inclusive Library marks a significant milestone in our shared commitment to fostering knowledge, accessibility, and opportunity for all. Together, we are creating an environment where every young mind can thrive and contribute meaningfully to society.'Developed over more than a year in multiple phases, the Inclusive Library was brought to life through Mubadala's financial and volunteer support. Students will manage the library themselves, giving them opportunities to enhance their leadership skills and develop a stronger sense of responsibility and community the inauguration, dignitaries toured the library and attended an art exhibition prepared by students of the Centre. Guests commended the creativity, thoughtfulness, and talent demonstrated throughout. Mohammed Abdul Jalil Al Fahim, Chairman of the Future Rehabilitation Centre, commented, 'This library represents more than just shelves of books—it is a symbol of hope, possibility, and inclusion. Titled "The Museum of Imagination," the event brought together prominent figures and over 700 people. The event included an inspiring show with creative visual displays and advanced technology, impressing the audience with the students' unique talents. The performance highlighted their abilities to express themselves through art in innovative and mesmerising ways. In his speech, Sheikh Nahyan emphasised that the performance was a testament to the creative potential of People of Determination, showcasing their ability to express themselves in remarkable ways. He stated, "We believe that art and music are universal languages that transcend borders and bring people together, fostering noble values of tolerance and coexistence. What we witnessed today is a reflection of these values, which we all strive to instil in our society." Sheikh Nahyan also highlighted that supporting People of Determination is not only a duty but a collective responsibility to enable them to demonstrate their talents and contribute effectively to society. "The UAE, under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, places People of Determination at the heart of its journey towards progress, believing in their capabilities and their active role in building the future." He noted that the country's leadership has worked to establish pioneering policies and initiatives that ensure an integrated environment for People of Determination, providing them with opportunities for education, employment, and innovation. Mohammed Abdul Jalil Al Fahim, Chairman of the Future Rehabilitation Centre, stated, "Music and art are powerful tools for overcoming barriers and enhancing communication among individuals. This performance is a testament to the dedication and hard work of our students and their trainers." Mowfaq Mustafa, Director of the Centre, underlined that the centre's priority is the care of People of Determination.
