AU launches quantum computing course
Andhra University has become the first State university to introduce a course in quantum computing. Vice Chancellor Prof. G.P. Raja Sekhar released a brochure at an event formally announcing the course on Wednesday. Prof. Shekar said: 'The course aligns with the National Quantum Mission and efforts are underway to set up a special lab for the course.' He recalled that Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has been promoting quantum computing and envisions turning Amaravati into a ''quantum valley''.

Results of Andhra University Engineering Entrance Test released
Rohit Mamidi (hall ticket number 256170441) secured the first rank with the highest marks (77) in the Andhra University Engineering Entrance Test (AUTET) conducted for admission to programmes at the university campus, Vice-Chancellor G.P. Raja Sekhar said. The results were put up on the website The examination was conducted on May 5 in seven major cities. A total of 5,634 candidates (3,324 males) appeared for the examination out of 6,028 registered candidates. He said that only one candidate from the EWS category appeared for the examination.
