27-year-old held for robbing 1 tola gold from woman
Hyderabad: A day after a woman was robbed in Narsapur forest, local police on Thursday apprehended the accused, who was found to be a repeat offender.
The accused identified as G Bikshapathi, 27, a resident of Medak, was taken into custody, and police recovered the 1-tola gold ornament he had allegedly stolen from the victim.
According to the police, Bikshapathi struck up a conversation with the woman and befriended her while they were traveling on a bus. The duo later got off at Narsapur, where he purchased liquor. They then proceeded into the forest area, where the woman was attacked, and her gold ornament forcibly taken from her.

The victim lodged a complaint, and police launched an investigation. Using CCTV camera footage from the area, officers were able to track and identify Bikshapathi, noting his distinctive attire captured on camera.
Police further revealed that the accused has a prior criminal record involving 11 cases, including one under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
Authorities have confirmed that Bikshapathi will be produced in court, and the investigation is ongoing to determine if he is linked to any other similar crimes in the region.
