Tech edu board secures NCVET dual category recognition
Guntur: Andhra Pradesh's Technical Education and Training Board got dual-category recognition ena-bling comprehensive skill development programmes. In a significant development for APs education and employment landscape, the State Board of Technical Education & Training AP has received prestigious recognition, becoming the first technical education authority in south India to be recognised by NCVT as an awarding body (Dual Category). A formal MoU was signed on Monday between SBTET and NCVET, in the presence of key lead-ership, secretary, ministry of skill development and entrepreneurship and cairman, NCVET Rajit Punhani and director of technical education G Ganesh Kumar . This new recognition is an important step towards strengthening job opportunities for young people in the state. It ensures that training programmes are aligned with the skills industries need, helping students transition smoothly from education to employment. With industry-relevant training and nationally recognised certificates, students can now access better ca-reer opportunities across India and even abroad. The recognition also supports government programmes like Skill India and fits with the new National Education Policy (NEP), which focuses on practical learning alongside traditional studies.

APSSDC helps students get jobs in Germany
Guntur: Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC) has taken steps to improve skills of the youth to get jobs with lakhs of rupees as salaries per month in the foreign countries. The corporation is imparting the necessary training in German language so that the trained candidates may get jobs in Germany. According to officials, so far seven nurses trained in German language at APSSDC got jobs in Germany. At present, APSSDC is teaching German language to 340 ITI final year students and BSC Nursing students online. Germany needs manpower particularly the technical workers and nurses. The APSSDC will extend necessary support and cooperation to the students successfully completed training to get jobs in Germany. According to officials, students studying BSC Nursing final year in nursing colleges in Srikakulam, Visakhapatnam, Kakinada, Eluru, NTR, Guntur, Ongole, Nellore, Tirupati, Kadapa, Anantapur, Kurnool, and Krishna districts will get training in German language from this academic year so that they can get employment opportunities in Germany. The government has already issued a GO to this effect. Compared to India, the salary and other monetary benefits are more in Germany. The APSSDC is focusing on teaching foreign languages. The APSSDC Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer G Ganesh Kumar said, 'We have entered into MoUs with Cura Personal, SM Care Solutions, 2 Coms, Skillbee India, Indo European Synchronisation (IES) for foreign language and placements and imparting training in German language.' Command over the English language is also very important to the ITI passed students to get jobs in English speaking countries. Interested youth seeking jobs abroad may register their details at the APSSDC office in the district. In order to get online training in German language, the youth have to register their details as soon as APSSDC releases notification on the website. The APSSDC officials will take steps to impart training in German language.

AP govt and Schneider Electric India Foundation ink MoU for skill training
Vijayawada: The Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Schneider Electric India Foundation. The MoU signing ceremony was held in Amaravati in the presence of IT Minister Nara Lokesh. This strategic collaboration seeks to strengthen skill development infrastructure and prepare a future-ready workforce for emerging sectors such as Electronics, Construction, and Green Energy—both in India and globally. The highlights of MoU include establishment of 20 advanced training labs across Government ITIs, Polytechnic Colleges, and NAC training centers between April 2024 and March 2027. Labs to be equipped with state-of-the-art electrical systems, solar energy solutions, and industrial automation equipment. Over 9,000 youth to be trained in alignment with industry requirements and global standards. Schneider Electric India Foundation to invest approximately ₹5 crore in training equipment, consumables, digital materials, and Training of Trainers (ToT) programmes. Placement support will be provided to successful candidates. APSSDC to provide infrastructure and mobilize students for training programs. The Schneider Electric has also agreed for the establishment of a centre of excellence in Mangalagiri with an estimated cost of Rs 15 crore, focused on high-end skill development and industry-aligned certification programmes. Creation of a Research & Innovation Center in Anantapur, aimed at fostering advanced applied research and collaboration with academia and industry. Launch of a modern power optimisation pilot project in ASR district, to serve as a model for efficient energy management and sustainable power solutions. Training centers will be set up in Amaravathi, Kuppam, Digital Community Bhavan – PM Lanka (Chittoor) and also at nine Government ITIs, Araku, Rajahmundry (Girls), Narsipatnam, Nuziveedu, Ongole (Boys), AS Peta, Karvetinagaram (Girls), Kadapa (Minorities), Srisailam and seven Government Polytechnics - Srikakulam, Guntur, Anantapur, Chandragiri, Nandyal, Gannavaram and Ongole. The MoU was signed in the presence of senior dignitaries including G Ganesh Kumar, Managing Director & CEO, APSSDC; K Dinesh Kumar, Executive Director, APSSDC; Deepak Sharma, Country Head & Managing Director, Schneider Electric; and Richa Gautam, Senior General Manager – CSR & Sustainability, Schneider Electric. Speaking on the occasion, Minister Nara Lokesh stated that this collaboration reaffirms State's commitment to bridging the skill gap and preparing its youth for the industries of the future.
