Floods displace over 3,000 persons in San Dionisio, Iloilo
Over 3,000 individuals in 14 barangays of San Dionisio town, Province of Iloilo have been affected by flooding due to intense rains dumped by the southwest monsoon (Habagat), and enhanced by Tropical Depression Crising.
The residents have experienced the ill effects of intense rainfall since July 14, 2025.
In an interview with Raygan Belite, head of the San Dionisio Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office to GMA Super Radyo Iloilo, he disclosed that the affected barangays are Hacienda Conchita, San Nicolas, Cudionan, Tiabas, Sua, Tamangi, Tube, Pangi, Moto, Pase, San Pedro, Poblacion, Talo-ato, and Manduawak.
A total of 961 families, or a total of 3, 230 individuals, has been affected.
Of the said figure, at least 16 families or 66 individuals sought temporary shelter at an evacuation center, but have already returned to their residences, as of posting time.
