Dalton-on-Tees: Two men injured in light aircraft crash
Two men have been taken to hospital after a light aircraft crash near a North Yorkshire village. North Yorkshire Police said they were called to the crash near Dalton-on-Tees, south of Darlington, at about 11:50 men who were in the aircraft were taken for treatment, but are "not believed to have been seriously injured", a force spokesperson said. They added: "We are liaising with the Air Accidents Investigation Branch to determine the full circumstances." Police officers from Durham Constabulary also attended the scene, along with fire and ambulance crews. North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service said the men were out of the aircraft by the time fire crews arrived."They were treated by paramedics and taken to hospital by ambulance," the fire service added. Antrim: Man aged in his 80s dies in a house fire
A man in his 80s has died following a fire in pensioner was in a house in the Oakglen area of the town when the blaze broke out in the early hours of Tuesday morning, police have Northern Ireland Fire Rescue Service (NIFRS) said they were called to reports of a fire on the first floor of the property at about 03:51 fire appliances from Antrim Fire Station and one from Ballymena attended the scene and extinguished the blaze. Firefighters rescued the man from the house, but he was pronounced dead at the scene. Police have said at this stage they are not treating the death as suspicious.
