Newcastle's Carabao Cup parade: Where to park on Saturday?
Council-owned car parks in Newcastle will have their opening hours extended for the Magpies' Carabao Cup celebrations on city council said its parking sites would remain open until midnight to support the tens of thousands of fans expected to cheer on Newcastle United's winning leader Karen Kilgour said work had been carried out to make sure everyone could be part of the historic day, but drivers have been warned that several popular locations will be blocked off to make way for the team's open-top bus parade."With huge crowds expected, we want everyone to enjoy it and get there and home safely so there will be a number of road closures required," she said.
"This is a monumental and exciting event for the city as we come together to celebrate this amazing achievement."Kilgour said people should use public transport where parade will begin at St James' Park at 16:00 GMT on Saturday and will travel through the city until it reaches the Town Moor at 18:00, where celebrations will continue.
Parade day car parks
