Anshuman Jha Confirms Lakadbaggha 3, To Shoot Bollywood's First Film in Chile

Last Updated: Anshuman Jha has confirmed Lakadbaggha 3 as he plans Bollywood's first shoot in Chile after meeting the President Of Chile - His Excellency Gabriel Boric Font. After meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi, the President of Chile, Gabriel Boric Font, made a quick visit to Mumbai. During his trip, he met with actor and filmmaker Anshuman Jha, along with Chile's Minister of Culture and Arts, Carolina Arredondo. The meeting focused on how Chile's beautiful culture and landscapes could be shown on screen through Bollywood films, especially with Jha's production house, First Ray Films. Anshuman, who just finished shooting Lakadbaggha 2 in Indonesia (the first officially sanctioned Indian film shot there), is now thinking of filming Lakadbaggha 3 in Chile—making it Bollywood's first project in the country. Sharing his thoughts on the meeting, Anshuman said: 'I come from theatre so any cultural exchange through the arts is an exciting endeavour. With so many divisive elements in the world, it is great to meet a leader of a nation who wants to encourage exchange & unity through the arts. It was an honour to meet his excellency President Gabril Boric Font & I truly hope we help his vision of bringing the beauty of Chile to the world through our cinema." The Chilean delegation also visited YRF Studios. There's already talk about Pathaan 2 and Lakadbaggha 3 being shot in Chile next year. Lakadbaggha is a 2023 Indian Hindi-language action thriller film directed by Victor Mukherjee, written by Alok Sharma and produced by First Ray Films. It starred Anshuman Jha, Riddhi Dogra, Paresh Pahuja and Milind Soman. The film was released on January 13, 2023, and had its European premiere as an official selection at the 20th Indisches International Film Festival at Stuttgart Germany in July 2023. The story followed Arjun Bakshi, a martial arts trainer with a soft spot for animals. He turns into a vigilante when his beloved dog Shanku goes missing. While searching for him, Arjun stumbles upon a rare Indian black-striped hyena and uncovers a dangerous illegal animal trade operating in Kolkata. The racket is run by Aryan—who also happens to be the brother of Crime Branch officer Akshara D'Souza. First Published:

Pathaan 2: Shah Rukh Khan's Spy Sequel To Be Shot In Chile, Confirms Report

Last Updated: Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan 2 is officially in motion and will be shot in Chile next year, as part of YRF's expanding Spy Universe. After smashing box office records and reigniting the action genre in Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan is officially getting a sequel—and it's heading to Chile for a major chunk of its shoot. According to a Mid-Day report, Pathaan 2, the highly anticipated next chapter in YRF's Spy Universe, will go on floors next year with breathtaking Chilean landscapes as its backdrop. The development gained traction during the recent visit of Chilean President Gabriel Boric Font to India. The President, along with Chile's Minister of Culture and Arts, Carolina Arredondo, met with key Indian creatives to explore cinematic collaborations that showcase Chile's natural beauty. Filmmaker-actor Anshuman Jha, who met the Chilean delegates in Mumbai, revealed, 'There are concrete conversations of Pathaan 2 by Yash Raj Films and Lakadbaggha 3 being shot in Chile next year. I hope we help His Excellency's vision of bringing the beauty of Chile to the world through our cinema." While the Spy Universe continues to expand, Pathaan 2 is reportedly slated to arrive before the much-hyped crossover event Tiger vs Pathaan. As previously reported by Pinkvilla, the sequel will serve as a narrative bridge, setting the stage for a cinematic clash between two titans—SRK's Pathaan and Salman Khan's Tiger. 'Soon after the blockbuster release in January 2023, Aditya Chopra and Shah Rukh Khan began discussing a dedicated franchise for Pathaan," said a source close to the development. 'Adi began working on the sequel as a crucial pivot in the Spy Universe timeline." In another exciting twist, Anil Kapoor has signed a multi-film deal with YRF to appear as a recurring character across the Spy Universe films. The veteran actor will first make an appearance in War 2—starring Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR, and Kiara Advani—followed by a role in Alpha, headlined by Alia Bhatt and Sharvari, and eventually feature in Pathaan 2. With its globe-trotting scale, returning powerhouse leads like Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone, and strategic setup for Tiger vs Pathaan, the sequel promises high-octane thrills, dazzling visuals, and a narrative arc that will redefine cinematic universes in Indian cinema. Earthquake strikes off Chile's southern coast, sparking tsunami threat

A magnitude 7.4 earthquake struck Drake Passage between Cape Horn and Antarctica at a depth of 10 km (6 miles) on Friday, the United States Geological Survey said. Chile's SENAPRED disaster agency said a coastal area of Magallanes region in the southern tip of the country should be evacuated due to the risk of a tsunami. "We're calling to evacuate the coast in the whole region of Magallanes," President Gabriel Boric said on X, adding that all the states resources would be made available to deal with any impact. Chile's Hydrographic and Oceanographic Service (SHOA) estimated that waves will reach bases in Antarctica and cities in Chile's extreme south in the coming hours. SENAPRED said it was establishing a state of precaution, an alert associated with minor tsunamis. — Gabriel Boric Font (@GabrielBoric) May 2, 2025
