Sincere effort got awards for Razakar: Gudur
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) senior leader Gudur Narayana Reddy claimed his sincere efforts to depict the bloody history of Hyderabad State before the eyes of all the Indians has brought awards to his film Razakar in the Gadar film awards announced on Thursday. The film won best film award on environment/heritage/history category, best music director for Bheems Ceciroleo and best make up artist to Nalla Sreenu. He thanked the Telangana Government, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, Cinematography Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, Chairperson of jury Jayasudha, and Chairman of Telangana Film Development Corporation Dil Raju (V Venkataramana Reddy) for bestowing the awards on his movie. Mr. Reddy also congratulated the stars and crew of the film, said a press release.

Jaat lifetime box office collection: Sunny Deol's Jaat hit the screens on April 10 and opened to a decent response at the box office, and grossed Rs 9.5 crore worldwide on the first day. The film then witnessed growth in mass centres but remained flat in the urban areas. Now, nearly a month later, Jaat's run is over and its verdict is out. Jaat disappoints at the worldwide box office Jaat, Sunny Deol's first release after Gadar 2 (2023), has failed to live up to expectations despite the mass hero's popularity. According to Manobala Vijayabalan, a trade analyst, the actioner earned Rs 115 crore globally in its full run. This is not a bad figure when viewed in isolation. It, however, pales in comparison to what Gadar 2 made in its full run. Anil Sharma's well-received sequel to Gadar (2001) earned Rs 691 crore in its lifetime on a budget of Rs 60 crore and emerged as a blockbuster despite facing competition from Akshay Kumar's OMG 2 and the Rajinikanth-led Jailer. Jaat received mixed reviews with critics praising the performances but panning the presentation. Manobala feels that the average word-of-mouth stunted its performance at the box office. 'Jaat is an average to hit venture at the box office when compared with its budget. The film managed to fetch ₹115 cr across the world. It couldn't perform well because of mixed reactions and competition,' he told Indiatimes. Jaat was released alongside Ajith Kumar's Good Bad Ugly, which emerged as the top choice of the audience in the Tamil market and earned an impressive Rs 242 crore at the box office. Sunny Deol's film also faced competition from Kesari Chapter 2, which hit the screens the next week and did well in the urban market. About Jaat Jaat is an action drama directed by Gopichandh Mallineni. The film centres on a man of the masses as he locks horns with a criminal. The film features Sunny Deol, Randeep Hooda, and Regina Cassandra in the lead. The music is composed by S Thaman.

‘Shy' Sunny Deol refused to shoot a dance sequence in Shimla, makers were forced to create the set in a studio to avoid crowd: Tiku Talsania
Sunny Deol is widely known for his 'angry young man' persona with films like Damini, Gadar, and Arjun Pandit. However, according to his co-stars, the actor is an extremely shy person in reality. In a recent interview, veteran actor Tiku Talsania recalled a time when the Gadar star was too shy to shoot a dance sequence amid a crowd, forcing makers of the film to create a set within a studio for the same. In an interview with Lallantop, Tiku said, 'He had to shoot a dance sequence at Shimla's mall road. The place was suddenly crowded with public, making the actor extremely conscious. Looking at the crowd, Sunny told the makers, 'Aaj nahi, baad mein karenge (Let's shoot it some other day)'. And then they recreated mall road somewhere in a studio. He is a very shy person you know. He doesn't like that kind of an adulation and all.' Long time ago, on Salman Khan's Dus Ka Dum, Sunny Deol had briefly spoken about his struggles with dancing. The episode also featured Sunny's father Dharmendra when the veteran actor said, 'When it was my turn to dance in films, I used to feel nervous. When Sunny entered the film industry, I hoped he could do what I struggled with in dancing. However, even Sunny faced difficulties with dancing.' A young Sunny was seen performing dance steps similar to those in Vicky's song. Sharing the video, the Gadar star wrote, 'When they say you can't dance, and then you find you did it before anyone else did.' The video was also shared by Karan Johar, who wrote, 'OMG!
