The Cheshire High School star in Connecticut can't see home plate but threw three no-hitters last year and will play Division I for the Red Storm.
Mia Williams may only be a sophomore, but she has been a Florida Gator for much longer than two years.
The Gators softball second baseman committed to Florida as a seventh grader when she was 12 years old, but her connection with the school runs even deeper than that. Even when Williams became the youngest recruit to ever commit to a Division I program at the time of her commitment in 2017, she seemed Gainesville-bound longer than that.

Williams is the daughter of former Florida basketball star guard Jason Williams and former Gator track and field athlete Denika Kisty.
As a sophomore, Williams has grown into a key cog for the Florida offense with a 1.185 OPS, 19 home runs, 44 RBI and 50 runs scored, while manning the keystone position on the softball diamond. She will be in the lineup when the No. 3 Gators host rival Georgia in the Gainesville Super Regional.

Who is Mia Williams' father?
After starting his career at Marshall, Jason Williams transferred to Florida to play under head coach Billy Donovan for his junior season in 1997-98. He had to sit out the 1996-97 season due to his transfer, but averaged 17.7 points, 6.7 assists, 3.0 rebounds and 2.7 steals per game in his lone season with the Gators.
Nicknamed "White Chocolate" during his playing career, Jason Williams was the No. 7 overall pick in the 1998 NBA Draft by the Sacramento Kings. He won an NBA championship with the Miami Heat in 2006.
Despite having a superstar father in basketball, Williams has always been more in love with the softball diamond.
'To this day, people will find out who my dad is, and they'll ask me, 'Why don't you play basketball?'" Williams said to Saturday Down South. "I'm not him. I'm someone else. I get to do whatever I want, you know?'

Williams' mother was no slouch either when it comes to athletics. Denika Kisty was a two-time All-American for Florida's track and field teams.
The success in different sports for the family brings out a competitive side, too.
'In our house, we all think we are the best,' Denika said to FloSports in 2018. 'I remind Jason weekly I'm the only All-American and he reminds me he is the only World Champion and it goes on and on.'
