Confusion over Congress district president appointment in Hisar

Hisar: A clerical error in the Congress list of newly appointed rural and urban district presidents led to political confusion in Hisar. On Tuesday night, the list named 'Brij Lal Khowal' as rural district president, prompting Selja supporter advocate Lal Bahadur Khowal to believe he was appointed.
He even shared his bio-data and photos of himself eating sweets with family members.
However, the next afternoon on Wednesday, it emerged that the actual appointee was Randeep Surjewala supporter Brij Lal Bahbalpuria. Khowal's surname was mistakenly printed in place of Bahbalpuria's, leading to the mix-up. Bajrang Das Garg's appointment as urban district president was confirmed without dispute.
Brij Lal Bahbalpuria, a veteran Congress leader, has been associated with the party for decades and previously served as district council president.
Selja Camp Gains Ground in Fatehabad, Sirsa
In Sirsa, Congress appointed Santosh Bainiwal, wife of MLA Bharat Singh Bainiwal's brother and a staunch Selja supporter, as rural district president. Krishna Phogat remains urban district president. In Fatehabad, Selja supporter Arvind Sharma was appointed district president.
