Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 FE may resemble premium Buds 3 Pro: What to expect

Samsung is said to be in the works on making Galaxy Buds 3 Fan-Edition (FE), and alleged images of the same have reportedly surfaced on the web now. According to a report by 9To5Google, an X (formerly Twitter) user, Evan Blass, shared images of what appears to be the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 FE. As per the images, it appears that the Galaxy Buds 3 FE would sport a look akin to the Buds 3 Pro, which were released last year. Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 FE: What to expect The Galaxy Buds 3 FE appears to have skipped the design of the Galaxy Buds 3 and rather opted to follow the Pro variant of the series to offer a premium look at a more affordable price. The render offers a glimpse of the exterior, but it's still unclear if the Buds 3 FE will retain premium elements from the Buds 3 Pro — like the LED Blade Lights or enhanced audio features. Samsung usually scales back on advanced perks such as high-end codecs, multi-driver setups, and intelligent noise cancellation in its Fan Edition models to keep the cost down. As per Android Authority, the Galaxy Buds 3 FE were spotted back in June in the Galaxy Buds Controller app (Wear OS v1.0.08.38) under the model number R420. This hinted at the potential arrival of the Buds 3 FE. Now, with the surfacing of these images, it is possible that the South Korean consumer electronics maker might be planning to release the Buds 3 FE soon.

Samsung's next Galaxy Buds FE allegedly wants to look like the Buds 3 Pro

When you buy through links on our articles, Future and its syndication partners may earn a commission. What you need to know A tipster posted an alleged render of the Galaxy Buds 3 FE on X, which seem to mirror the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro design. The earbuds feature black silicon tips in a supposed white color with Samsung's new "Blade design." Rumors about Samsung's Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra and Galaxy S25 FE suggest we could see a launch "shortly," which could mean an August/September debut. Samsung is seemingly preparing another earbud surprise, as rumors allege an FE device is in the works. An alleged render of the product was posted on X by tipster Evan Blass, which has since been removed (via 9to5Google). The publication was able to snag the image before the takedown occurred. Blass suggests that the device will feature a design that mirrors what Samsung launched with the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro. While it's a very Apple reminiscent design (something execs have criticised), the company appears to want a continuation of it, at least for now. The Galaxy Buds 3 FE could see the same stick stabilizer to help when worn, with silicon tips, just like the Buds 3 Pro. Samsung called this a "Blade design" when the Buds 3 series launched last year. The buds are shown off in white, although it's unclear if they will be glossy like the base Galaxy Buds 3 or more matte, like the 3 Pro. Blass didn't allege anything like specs or potential pricing. The original Galaxy Buds FE debuted two years ago for $99. However, considering Samsung might pack in its Galaxy AI (and probably Gemini), there's no telling if that price will go up a little whenever it launches. FE for the rest? There's also another major distinction between the Buds 3 Pro and the base model: Samsung's blade lights. The Pro variant offers "Blade Lights" along the stabilizer that act as a bit of extra flair. Users can have these lights on continuously (stable) or have them fade in and out. Samsung's base 3 Pro doesn't offer this extra flair, so it remains to be seen if the Galaxy Buds 3 FE bring that in. Although considering the "FE" tag, perhaps not. Additionally, we can likely expect the same blade design media and call controls to remain, just like its flagship counterparts. You might've missed this, but Samsung recently dropped a pair of cheap earbuds, dubbed the Galaxy Buds Core, overseas in India and other regions. It's unclear if these buds will see a global launch or make their way to the U.S., but considering we're seeing Galaxy Buds 3 FE rumors, maybe there are other plans. A more recent leak dropped renders for the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra and the Galaxy S25 FE. It seems both devices are in for some subtle design changes, such as an Infinity-U camera cutout for the Tab S11 Ultra's front camera and the potential removal of its S Pen slot on its back. For the S25 FE, it looks like Samsung is bringing its shiny silvery rings to its camera lenses, instead of the black rings like the Galaxy S25 series. There's speculation that the Korean OEM is looking to debut its tablet series "shortly" following Unpacked, and this could bring the S25 FE with it. These earbuds could find their way into the mix. Galaxy Buds 3 FE leak reveals a surprisingly premium design

Ryan Haines / Android Authority TL;DR A reportedly leaked image shows the Galaxy Buds 3 FE look nearly identical to the Buds 3 Pro The FE model appears to use the Pro's stemmed design with silicone tips, rather than the open AirPods-style Buds 3. Samsung has yet to confirm specs or a release date, and the leaked image has now been removed from X. Samsung may be working on a more affordable set of Fan Edition wireless earbuds, but you'd be hard-pressed to tell from the design. A newly leaked image, if genuine, gives us our first good look at the Galaxy Buds 3 FE, and they appear nearly identical to the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro. The render was originally shared by leaker @evleaks and picked up by 9to5Google, though it has since been removed from X. The image clearly shows a design with a stemmed shape and silicone tips that aligns with Samsung's higher-end earbuds. In contrast, the base Galaxy Buds 3 use a more open design with no ear tips and strong AirPods vibes. If the Buds 3 FE are meant to be a cheaper alternative to the Pro model, borrowing the same hardware design makes a lot of sense. It gives the earbuds a premium feel without the premium price. Plus, for users who didn't love the fit of the Buds 3, the Buds 3 FE could be a better choice. We spotted evidence of the Buds 3 FE being in the works via code in Samsung's Wear OS Buds Controller app back in June, where they were listed under model number R420. These buds aren't the same model as the Galaxy Buds Core, which launched last month in India as the apparent successor to the original Galaxy Buds FE. While the leaked image shows us the external design, we don't know whether the Buds 3 FE will keep the Buds 3 Pro's fancier touches like LED Blade Lights or advanced audio features. Samsung typically strips down features like high-end codecs, multi-driver audio, and smart ANC in its FE products to hit a more accessible price point. There's still no official word on pricing or a release date. With images now appearing, the Buds 3 FE might be on track to launch alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 at Samsung's next Unpacked event, but it's speculation at this point. Got a tip? Samsung's next Fan Edition earbuds just surfaced

Samsung is reportedly going to launch a new Fan Edition device, Galaxy Buds 3 FE, before the end of this year. The earbuds are going to join the expanding lineup of Fan Edition devices, and now a new leaked image is showing the upgrade that the Galaxy Buds FE lineup is getting. The first image of the Galaxy Buds 3 FE has been shared online by leaker Evan Blass (it appears the image was deleted on X, but as you know, with the internet - once on the internet, forever on the internet): The leaked image that was reportedly shared by Blass and saved by SamMobile. | Image Credit - Evan Blass One thing that's worth noting here: it seems Samsung is jumping straight into Buds 3 FE and not Buds 2 FE, skipping the 2. At least judging by recent leaks. The Galaxy Buds 3 FE seem to share the same design approach as the Galaxy Buds 3 and the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro. The earbuds now have stems with a touch-sensitive area. With this area, you can conveniently adjust the volume, switch between Active Noise Cancellation and Ambient Sound models, and control music playback. Similarly to the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro , the Galaxy Buds 3 FE appear to sport silicone ear tips for noise isolation. This is definitely an upgrade over the Galaxy Buds 3, which didn't have ear tips like this. Apart from that, the Galaxy Buds 3 FE are also rumored to come with ANC and Ambient Modes, just like their predecessor. Meanwhile, a plethora of generative AI features (Galaxy AI) are also expected for the earbuds. Those include Interpreter Mode for real-time language translation, which is useful if you travel a lot but don't speak as many languages as you'd want. They are also said to come with some level of resistance to dust and water, although the exact IP rating is not known at the moment. They are expected to sport Gemini, Bixby, an audio equalizer, integration with Samsung Find, and Bluetooth v5.4 with LE Audio. The Galaxy Buds 3 FE could launch alongside Samsung's upcoming Galaxy S25 FE. The Fan Edition models have grown over the years. At first, it was just the Galaxy S, now, there are Fan Edition versions of the Galaxy Buds, Galaxy Tab, and even the Galaxy Z Flip. Fan Edition models are more affordable versions of the product with some corners cut to achieve a lower price, but generally have quite premium features and specs. I think the Galaxy Buds 3 FE would be a great option for anyone looking for solid earbuds with premium features, like ANC and touch controls, without paying the full flagship price. Samsung's Fan Edition line has really stepped up its game, offering a nice balance between quality and affordability. If they deliver good sound, comfort, and battery life, these could easily become a favorite for everyday use, especially for those who want smart features like real-time translation without breaking the bank.

Samsung confirms Galaxy Buds Core, but U.S. fans may be left waiting

Samsung is said to be working on both Galaxy Buds Core and a Galaxy Buds 3 FE. Additionally, the Buds Core were spotted earlier on Samsung's official UAE website, which could indicate a global rollout, even though it appears the U.S. may be excluded from the release roadmap for now.
