Samsung Galaxy Buds Core battery capacity leaks
Samsung is reportedly looking to replace its entry-level TWS buds this year. The new device is called the Galaxy Buds Core and replaces the Buds FE that came out in 2023. The latter launched with an MSRP of $100, which might be an indication of Buds Core's pricing. The new Buds Core recently showed up on a bunch of Samsung support websites so we now know their model number will be SM-R410. Galaxy Buds Core batteries have leaked• Case: 500mah battery • Buds: 100mah battery (each) Buds have 34mah larger batteries and 21mah larger case battery than the Buds FE — Anthony (@TheGalox_) May 23, 2025 In a new development, an industry rumor has surfaced regarding the battery capacity of the buds and their respective charging case. As per the source, each bud will have a 100 mAh capacity, whereas the case will have a 500 mAh capacity. If this turns out to be true, it constitutes a pretty major increase over the 60 mAh batteries inside the Buds FE and the 479 mAh typical capacity of their charging case. We aren't sure whether the Buds Core will inherit the new stem design debuted by the Buds3 and Buds3 Pro. Such a massive battery increase in the buds sure points in that direction, but it remains to be seen. By the way, the accompanying render is not confirmed or official in any capacity. Source

Galaxy Buds Core get listed on a bunch of Samsung support sites
Samsung is working on the Galaxy Buds Core, according to recent rumors. These are intended to replace the Galaxy Buds FE as the cheapest TWS earbuds in the company's portfolio. They are definitely launching very soon, as Samsung support sites in a bunch of countries, including India, the UAE, Russia, and Türkiye, have now listed these buds under their SM-R410 model number. The Galaxy Buds Core have already been certified for sale in India by BIS. Interestingly, the first Samsung launch event where these could be presented is in early July, when the company is expected to unveil the Galaxy Z Flip7 and Fold7, so perhaps the Buds Core will be announced on that occasion, when the Galaxy Watch8 and Watch8 Classic should also debut. Nothing about the Galaxy Buds Core's specs is known at this point, but if the Buds FE are any indication, expect these to cater to the entry-level market for TWS earbuds. They may or may not adopt the new stem design that debuted with the Buds3 and Buds3 Pro last year, that remains to be seen. Via

Samsung will reportedly go with 'Galaxy Buds Core' for its next Buds FE
When you buy through links on our articles, Future and its syndication partners may earn a commission. A Nemko Platform listing has reportedly picked up Samsung's next FE series earbuds, which will reportedly go by the "Galaxy Buds Core." Little information is known about them, other than the inclusion of a 500mAh battery charging case and 200mAh batteries for the buds. The Galaxy Buds 3 series launched last summer with a radical design shift that makes them feel more like Apple's AirPods. Samsung's next FE earbuds are supposedly on the way, and with a few changes beyond their name. A discovery by 91Mobiles via the Nemko Platform database suggests that a device with model number SM-R410 is the next Galaxy Buds FE (via Android Authority). Interestingly, the listing states the device will be called the "Galaxy Buds Core," which echoes a previous Samsung FCC listing found by the publication. According to Nemko, the earbuds' charging case was found with model number "EP-QR410." The listing suggests the case could provide a 500mAh battery for charging bursts while on the go. Moreover, the earbuds themselves could pack a 200mAh battery for music, calls, and more. Other listed information isn't too surprising, but it states the buds will carry Bluetooth connectivity, as usual. The publication reiterates its FCC findings, adding the device is expected to see Bluetooth 5.0 Plus support, as well as "dual-band Wi-Fi, up to 5.8GHz." In 2023, Samsung launched several devices under its Galaxy FE umbrella, and one of those products was the Galaxy Buds FE. These earbuds were based on the Galaxy Buds, but were seen more as a successor. The Buds FE offer immersive audio quality, three mics on each bud, Active Noise Cancellation, and Ambient Sound. Additionally, Samsung outfitted the device with 8.5 hours of playback, which jumped to 30 hours if you had your case on hand. This is where things get interesting because the Galaxy Buds FE featured an "ergonomic" design like the Galaxy Buds. This was produced via its bulbous, wing-tip design. If Samsung is truly looking at a return to the Galaxy Buds FE, and calling it the "Galaxy Buds Core," we might have an idea about its design. Typically, Samsung's FE devices play off the design of the flagship version, and we have the Galaxy Buds 3 series to look at. Those offered a more radical design change, looking more like Apple AirPods with a long stem. The company said the change "enables a more intuitive physical experience by allowing you to control the device by simply pinching or swiping up or down on the blade" for controls. However, there's also a chance Samsung will resurrect that old wing-tip design to differentiate the "Galaxy Buds Core" from its flagship models. Galaxy Buds Core will outdo the Buds FE in at least one key way
Ryan Haines / Android Authority TL;DR The Galaxy Buds Core were recently spotted in the Nemko certification database. The listing reveals the successor to the Galaxy Buds FE will get a battery upgrade. The earbuds are rated for 200mAh, and the case for 500mAh. Samsung's most affordable earbuds — the Galaxy Buds FE — are getting a successor. Based on an FCC filing spotted last month, we know that these earbuds won't be called the FE 2, but instead will be branded as the Galaxy Buds Core. These earbuds have now been spotted on another certification website, which reveals what we can expect for battery capacity. When the Galaxy Buds FE launched, the carry case came with a 479mAh battery, while each earbud contained a 60mAh battery. This provides about four to six hours of playback time on a single charge. According to a listing (spotted by 91Mobiles) on the Nemko platform, a Norwegian private firm that assists in testing the safety of electrical equipment, the buds that will replace the FE should have a much better battery life. This listing states that the Galaxy Buds Core has a 200mAh rating for the earbuds, likely meaning 100mAh per earbud. As for the carrying case, it's getting upgraded to a 500mAh battery. What makes this interesting is how this compares to the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro. For comparison, the Buds 3 Pro features a 48mAh battery for each earbud and a 515mAh battery for the carrying case. There's no date for when the Galaxy Buds Core will launch, but these certification database spottings suggest a launch is coming up soon. Previous reports claim that these earbuds may initially only launch in select regions, including Brazil, Indonesia, Israel, India, Mexico, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, Turkiye, Egypt, and Russia.
