A woman who died in a two-car crash on the A75 has been named by police. Mary Reeves, of Kirkcudbruight, died following a crash between a grey Ford Ka and a white Seat Ibiza. Police were called to the road between Castle Douglas and Bridge of Dee at around 8.50pm on May 3. The 67-year-old, who was driving the white Seat Ibiza, was taken to Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary, where she later died. The 19-year-old driver of the Ka and the 16-year-old passenger were seriously injured. The road was closed for 13 hours while investigations were carried out. Police said enquiries into the incident are ongoing. A Police Scotland spokesperson said: 'A 67-year-old woman who died following a crash on the A75 between Castle Douglas and Bridge of Dee has been named as Mary Reeves, of Kirkcudbruight, Dumfries and Galloway. 'The incident occurred around 8.50pm on Saturday, May 3, 2025, when police were made aware of a crash involving a grey Ford Ka and a white Seat Ibiza. 'Enquiries are ongoing.' A doctor who installed hidden cameras in air fresheners in a bathroom has been jailed after being convicted of voyeurism offences. Dr Ju Young Um secretly recorded more than 24 people over the course of more than three years. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad Dr Ju Young Um and one of the hidden cameras | Contributed The anaesthetist was found guilty of 23 charges in April following a trial at Glasgow Sheriff Court and was jailed for 18 months when he appeared there for sentencing on Thursday, the Crown Office said. Prosecutors said the 34-year-old installed hidden cameras at his property in the Hyndland area of Glasgow, which had been partially rented out on Airbnb. Position of air fresheners raised victim's suspicions One victim became suspicious after noticing two air fresheners which appeared to be facing the toilet and shower, prosecutors said. Um was also found guilty of covertly filming people in private situations within staff accommodation at Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary. 'He abused a position of trust to significantly violate the privacy of numerous individuals for his own sexual gratification. 'We will continue to take action against those responsible for this type of offending as we strive to keep the communities we serve safe.' Um will remain on licence for a further nine months once he is released from prison, during which time he will be subject to close monitoring and supervision. His name has been added to the sex offenders register for 10 years. Police Scotland is appealing for information from the public after a woman died following a crash on the A75. Officers received reports of a collision involving a grey Ford Ka and a white Seat Ibiza car, between Castle Douglas and Bridge of Dee, just after 8.50pm on 3 May 2025. A 67-year-old woman, driving the Ka, died after being taken to Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary. A 19-year-old, driving the Seat Ibiza, and a 16-year-old passenger are in hospital with serious injuries. The road reopened following an investigation of the scene just after 10am on 4 May 2025. Sergeant Lloyd Caven said: 'Our thoughts are with the family of the woman who died. Our enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing.'I am appealing for anyone who saw the crash who hasn't already spoken to officers to get in touch.'I would also ask anyone who was in the area at the time and may have dash-cam footage which could assist to contact us.' The police are urging anyone with information to call Police Scotland on 101, quoting the incident number 3651 of Saturday, 3 May 2025.

ROAD TRAGEDY Woman, 67, dead and two teens injured after horror crash A WOMAN has died and two teenagers have been injured after a horror car crash. Emergency crews were deployed to the scene as they were alerted to the crash. All three people involved in the crash were raced to the Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary. Tragically, the 67-year-old woman driving the Seat died in hospital. The two teenagers from the Ford - a 19-year-old driver and 16-year-old passenger - have been left with serious injuries. Police closed down the road as they began investigating the cause of the tragedy. Officers have now pleaded for anyone with information to come forward to help them find out what caused the crash. They have called on any drivers in the area at the time who have a dashcam in their car to call in. Sergeant Lloyd Caven said: 'Our thoughts are with the family of the woman who died. "The road was closed to allow for investigations to take place and re-opened around 10am on Sunday."
