Drugs Control Administration seizes Rs 3L worth of counterfeit antibiotics in Hyderabad drugstore raids
HYDERABAD: The Drugs Control Administration (DCA) seized antibiotic stocks worth Rs 3 lakh after raiding two medical shops in Sultan Bazar.
During the raids at Ganga Pharma Distributors and Sri Nandini Pharma in Inderbagh, counterfeit batches of rosuvastatin and fenofibrate tablets were found.
This was confirmed after comparing the spurious batches with genuine ones, following a response from the original manufacturer. A detailed investigation is underway.
