Mumbai's iconic Ganpati to travel citywide in world's first open-top bus darshan. Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], August 13: One of Mumbai's most recognised Ganpati celebrations, Mumbai Cha Sheth, is set to return for its ninth year. But this time it is back with a unique twist. It will be organised by Red Cherrys Entertainment under the leadership of Keyur Sheth. The 2025 edition will mark the first time the Ganpati idol will be taken across the city aboard an open-top double-decker bus. This is happening for the first time in the world. It will allow devotees in multiple neighbourhoods to have darshan without visiting a single fixed location. Mumbai Cha Sheth has been a highlight of the city's Ganeshotsav calendar since its inception in 2015. Indeed, it is the best attraction of Mumbai. Every year, the Mumbai Cha Sheth's Ganpati Bappa has drawn large crowds. Several well-known personalities from television, cinema, and sports visit to get blessing from Ganpati Bappa. Hindustani Bhau, Munmun Dutta, Soumya Tandon, Rakesh Bedi, Sangram Singh, Rakhi Tandon, Sunil Pal, Poonam Pandey, and many more have received blessings from Mumbai Cha Sheth's Ganpati Bappa. The annual festival mixes traditional rituals with innovative ideas. It draws devotees from across Mumbai and beyond. This year, 2025's highlight will be the introduction of Hijack India 2.0 by Mumbai Cha Sheth. It is the open-top bus. This bus will carry the Ganpati Bappa idol through various parts of Mumbai city. Organisers further shared, 'It will be maintaining the cultural and spiritual essence of the celebration.' The grand reveal of Ganpati Bappa's idol is scheduled for August 27, 2025. The bus route and detailed schedule are expected to be announced shortly by the Mumbai Cha Sheth team. This will allow devotees to plan their participation in the mobile darshan. Mumbai Cha Sheth has been known for its large-scale decorations, themed setups, and musical performances over the past nine years. Daily aartis and community gatherings make it even more memorable. This year, the mobile format is expected to create a city-wide celebration. As per the organisers, it will be extending the reach of the festivities to more localities than ever before. "Behen thi wo meri...": Hindustani Bhao breaks down after Shefali Jariwala's sudden death
Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], June 28 (ANI): Vikas Fhatak, popularly known as Hindustani Bhau, was seen outside Cooper Hospital after the sudden death of actress and former Bigg Boss 13 contestant Shefali Jariwala. Shefali's body was brought to the hospital for a post-mortem after she was found dead at her Andheri home in Mumbai. Visibly emotional, Vikas, who was Shefali's Rakhi brother, broke down in front of the media, 'Behen thi wo bhi nahin sakte the ki aisa kuch hoga. Jo saal mein do-teen baar mujhe subah se leke shaam tak jo phone bajte the, wo sirf Raksha Bandhan ke time aur Ganpati Bappa ke time hi the. Bas ab mobile me naam hain uska. Phone nahin bajega,' he said, holding back tears. Vikas and Shefali first met on the reality show Bigg Boss 13 in 2019. Their bond grew on the show and continued after it ended. Shefali had tied a rakhi to him every year and had shared her love for him on social media. Last year, on Raksha Bandhan, she posted a picture with Vikas and wrote, 'Together, we can conquer the world. Happy Raksha Bandhan! @hindustanibhaukingsarkar I met him in Bigg Boss, and the connection was instant. According to reports, Shefali's husband, Parag Tyagi, rushed her to Bellevue Multispecialty Hospital on Friday night, but doctors declared her dead on arrival. Initial reports indicated that she died of a cardiac arrest at the age of 42. However, police officials stated that the actress was found dead, following which her body was sent to Cooper Hospital for a post-mortem during the wee hours. Mumbai Police said, 'Her body was found at her residence in the Andheri area. Mumbai Police received information about this at 1 am. Her body has been sent to Cooper Hospital for a post-mortem. The cause of death is not yet clear.' Known for her role in the 2002 music video 'Kaanta Laga,' Jariwala became a cultural icon. She later appeared in Bollywood, starring in the 2004 film Mujhse Shaadi Karogi alongside Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar. Jariwala also gained recognition through her appearances on reality TV, most notably in Bigg Boss 13 in 2019 and Nach Baliye seasons 5 and 7, where she participated alongside her husband. (ANI)

Actor, dancer Shefali Jariwala's body is kept at Mumbai's Cooper Hospital for post-mortem. She passed away last night reportedly from cardiac arrest. While the official cause of her death is being investigated, her husband Parag Tyagi reached the hospital on Saturday afternoon. Upon reaching the hospital location, Parag was quickly surrounded by paparazzi. Looking shattered, he was mobbed by the media personnel. Videos of him struggling to make his way to the hospital gate have surfaced online. Requesting space, Parag folded hands and told photographers to let him go. In a viral video, he is heard saying, 'Please mat karo (don't do this).' The media frenzy outside the hospital upon Parag's arrival has left the internet angry. Slamming shutterbugs, a user wrote, 'Guys, it's a difficult time for them, please allow them some space.' 'He must be shocked and devastated. Please be human and leave him alone,' added another. Someone else also said, 'Please leave him alone.' Apart from Parag, relatives of Shefali were also spotted reaching the hospital where her mortal remains are kept. Shefali's friend and Bigg Boss 13 co-contestant Arti Singh was clicked arriving at the hospital with her husband Dipak. Saved By Seconds: How A 10-Minute Delay Spared Woman From Air India Flight AI171 Tragedy
A female passenger who arrived 10 minutes late for Air India Flight AI171 because of traffic told of her terrifying ordeal after the plane crashed just after takeoff, resulting in 241 deaths. Bhoomi Chauhan, who was to fly from Ahmedabad to London, told how she was shocked and thankful as she said, "My body is shivering. My Ganpati Bappa saved me." Chauhan, who had traveled to India on a holiday for the first time in two years, departed Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport at about 1:30 PM IST after having missed the 1:38 PM flight. The Boeing 787-8 airplane that had landed from Delhi several hours ago then crashed into a housing complex close to the airport. "My mind is empty. I'm shocked by the loss of lives," she said to Republic TV, continuing, "Just due to those 10 minutes, I wasn't able to board." Flight AI171, with 242 passengers and crew members, flew to 625 feet before a sudden drop resulted in an explosive fire, according to data from Flightradar24. The 12-year-old Boeing 787 Dreamliner crash is one of the deadliest crashes to occur on the model. The Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) is investigating.
