Therapist, 32, is 'caught red-handed by child's father doing the unthinkable to boy' he was supposed to be help

A 32-year-old in-home behavioral therapist has been accused of molesting an autistic child he was supposed to help. Salvador Armando Arriaga pleaded not guilty Thursday to charges of molesting an autistic child in Garden Grove, according to the Orange County District Attorney's Office in California. He entered his plea during an arraignment at the West Justice Center in Westminster. Arriaga faces charges of lewd or lascivious acts on a minor younger than 14. He was accused of molesting the boy during a September 18 therapy session in the client's bedroom, while he was employed by Behavioral Health Works in Anaheim. According to prosecutors, Arriaga had provided therapy services to the boy on multiple previous occasions. On the day of the alleged incident, the child's father walked in on the boy in a closet with his pants down, according to prosecutors. He discovered his son in that state when he went to check on him after noticing he could not hear the therapist and child talking. When confronted, Arriaga reportedly attempted to escape through a bedroom window before running out the front door instead. The father immediately contacted police. Prosecutors allege that Arriaga changed his shirt and returned to the residence while officers were present at the scene. Arriaga's defense attorney, Jacqueline Goodman, stated that her client 'is entitled to a fair trial and the presumption of innocence'. 'We are thoroughly investigating and will address all charges in court, where facts, not prejudicial narratives, should prevail,' Goodman told City News Service, as reported by ABC7. Arriaga is currently being held on $1million bail. He could face a maximum sentence of 25 years to life in prison if convicted. The Garden Grove Police Department is asking anyone with additional information about Arriaga or potential additional victims to contact Detective Sindy Orozco at 714-741-5872 or sindyo@

Popular Virginia Brewery Will Close in June After 10 Years

A well-known Richmond, Virginia brewery will be closing down in late June after a decade in operation. Garden Grove Brewing, located in the Carytown neighborhood of Richmond, will cease business on June 28, owners Ryan Mitchell and Kevin Storm announced in a social media post on Tuesday. "Garden Grove Brewing and Urban Winery will be closing its doors after service on Saturday June 28th," Mitchell wrote. "This is due mainly in part to our lease ending in June. We want to go out on our terms and we felt that the time to do that is now. "For Kevin and myself this is the perfect time for the next chapter in our lives. We both have family's that are growing and it is our time to step away from the brewing industry and focus on our own career goals. Having normalcy in our schedules, time with our wives and watching our children grow are the highest priority." In its final month-plus of existence, Garden Grove has two more important endeavors to complete, Mitchell said. One of them is a final celebration weekend June 13-15 which will include all beers, wines and slushes selling for $5.00. The brewery is also in the process of creating a new beer that will be sold with all proceeds going to Chesterfield County Professional Firefighters Association Local 2803. The cause is dear to Mitchell's heart, as he's currently pursuing a new career as a firefighter in Chesterfield County. "Richmond, thank you for always caring for us, supporting us, and backing us through the last 10 years," Mitchell said. "It has been truly an honor to serve and be served in this unbelievable community. Here is to the next chapter in our ever expanding lives!" According to Garden Grove was the 100th brewery to open in Virginia when it began serving customers in 2015. Currently, there are more than 350 open statewide. However, Garden Grove is one of three Richmond breweries to close shop recently, joining Kindred Spirit Brewing, which shuttered its satellite taproom last weekend, and Anytime Beer Co., which shut down May 7.
