Kim Soo Hyun-Kim Sae Ron dating scandal sparks 50K petition signatures calling for probe into Garosero
A public petition demanding stronger legal oversight of online platforms, especially targeting YouTube Garosero, has gained over 50,000 signatures in less than two weeks. It was filed on May 22 through the National Assembly's electronic petition system in South Korea. The proposal seeks urgent reforms to address repeated privacy violations, false reporting, and the spread of harmful content. It's titled 'Petition to Improve the System to Prevent the Repeated Spread of False Information and Human Rights Violations on Online Platforms.' The proposal aims to hold content creators and platforms accountable for allowing unverified and damaging material to go unchecked. As of June 3, the petition had gathered over 54,000 supporters. It will remain open until June 21, allowing citizens to add their names in support of institutional change. At the center of the controversy is the Garosero Research Institute, a YouTube channel run by Kim Se Ui. Most recently, the channel has been widely condemned for releasing private and sensitive materials involving the late actress Kim Sae Ron and actor Kim Soo Hyun. Accusations against Garosero and Kim Se Ui According to the petition, Garosero has repeatedly released content containing serious allegations. Many of which were said to be either unverified or damaging to the reputations of those involved. The petitioner emphasized that these actions have crossed ethical lines and caused irreversible harm not only to public figures but also to their families. 'Indiscriminate spreading of false information and exposure of personal privacy have reached a level that can no longer be tolerated in our society,' the petitioner stated. The petition further called for legal punishment and platform-based sanctions. It also demanded an independent investigation into Garosero's content and operations. Specific concern was raised about Garosero's recent uploads involving sensitive materials about Kim Sae Ron, who passed away in February. The channel has been working with her family. They have been releasing alleged private messages, photos, and videos that reportedly prove she was romantically involved with Kim Soo Hyun for six years. The relationship is said to have begun when she was still a minor. Fallout for Kim Soo Hyun As a direct consequence of the dissemination of these claims, Kim Soo Hyun have suffered serious career disruptions. His upcoming drama Knock-Off has been indefinitely postponed. Moreover, several brand endorsements have quietly ended or been suspended. The scandal has had a chilling effect on his public image. In response, Kim Soo Hyun has taken legal action against both Kim Se Ui and the bereaved family of Kim Sae Ron. He accused them of defamation, invasion of privacy, and the malicious use of personal material. Petition demands broader legal and institutional reforms Beyond individual accountability, the petition argues for systemic reform. It calls on lawmakers to revise current media regulations. It also urges the enforcement of stricter guidelines on YouTube and other digital platforms that allow such content to thrive without consequence. The petitioner highlighted the damaging impact of 'cyber wrecking.' Examples cited in the petition include distorted reporting, manipulated narratives, and intentional misinformation. All of which the petitioner claimed were tactics used by Garosero to fuel engagement and views at the expense of truth and ethics.

Did Kim Sae Ron date K-pop star from 7-member boy band? Actor-idol relationship rumor debunked
As the days go by, Kim Sae Ron 's dating scandal is spiraling deeper, dragging in more names and controversies. From fake voice notes to her DUI incident and her family's legal case against ex-boyfriend Kim Soo Hyun — it's become a storm of headlines. According to Money Today, it was revealed that the late actress reportedly dated a famous idol, known only as A, around 2018. Rumors began to swirl that one of her exes belonged to a well-known 7 member idol group. However, the alleged relationship with this K-pop idol has since been proven false. Through Garosero, Kim Sae Ron's side claimed she dated actor Kim Soo Hyun from late 2015, when she was still a minor, until 2021. Other claims suggest she also dated singer WOODZ briefly from 2021 to 2022, including the alleged 'A' somewhere in between. There were also reports that Kim Sae Ron and Mr. A briefly dated in 2019 and got back together in 2022 — around the time she was involved in her DUI case and facing financial difficulties. Allegedly, Mr. A lent her a large sum of money during that time. Industry insiders stated that Kim Sae Ron continued to meet with Mr. A even after their breakup. However, at no point has it been officially stated that Mr. A was part of a seven-member idol group, making those earlier rumors completely baseless. Sources also noted that Kim Sae Ron never hid her relationship with Mr. A, often introducing him to acquaintances as her boyfriend. While her past relationships have been mentioned, no official list of ex-boyfriends has been confirmed. Meanwhile, Kim Sae Ron and Kim Soo Hyun's ongoing legal case continues to take shocking turns. According to Edaily, South Korean police are currently investigating 10 legal cases connected to Kim Sae Ron. At a press conference on May 20, the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency revealed that 7 of those cases are being handled by the Gangnam Police Station, while the other 3 fall under the Seodaemun Police Station. Notably, 7 of these cases were filed by Kim Soo Hyun. In addition, he now faces accusations from Kim Sae Ron's grieving family, including a charge of violating the Child Welfare Act.

Kim Soo Hyun's agency denies allegations leveled by Kim Sae Ron's family, claims voice recording was AI-generated forgery
The controversy surrounding actor Kim Soo Hyun has continued to intensify following explosive allegations made by Kim Sae Ron's family and the Garosero Research Institute during a press conference on Wednesday. In response, his agency, GOLDMEDALIST, issued a strong denial through their legal team, LKB & Partners, calling the claims entirely false and accusing those involved of staging a coordinated smear campaign using AI-generated audio. For context, the legal representative of Kim Sae Ron's family presented an audio recording—believed to be of the late actress—where she allegedly claimed she had a sexual relationship with Kim Soo Hyun when she was just 14 years old. In the same recording, she also said the actor had sent her intimate photos of himself with an idol whose identity has not been revealed. The agency claims the audio was faked using AI In their official statement, GOLDMEDALIST called the voice recording presented at the press conference a complete forgery. According to the agency, the recording was artificially created using AI voice synthesis. The agency also revealed that the person who provided the audio file to Garosero had previously approached GOLDMEDALIST with a suspicious offer. Claiming to possess a file in which Kim Sae Ron spoke positively about Kim Soo Hyun, the individual allegedly demanded money in exchange for the material. When the agency refused to comply, the person reportedly turned to Garosero, where the recording was ultimately unveiled. 'The individual has no verified connection to the late Kim Sae Ron,' the statement read. 'After failing to extort our agency, they collaborated with Garo Sero to distribute a fake recording. We believe the file was produced using AI and are currently undergoing a technical analysis to confirm this.' 'Attack photo' claims also disputed During the press conference, Garosero also claimed that their informant had been physically assaulted by attorney Ko Sang Rok, a legal representative for GOLDMEDALIST. As supposed proof, they presented what they called an 'attack photo.' However, GOLDMEDALIST refuted this accusation, stating that the photo in question could be easily traced online and was not linked to any incident involving their attorney. 'It's an obvious fabrication that defies common sense,' the agency stated. Kim Soo Hyun' agency plans for legal action GOLDMEDALIST made it clear that they would not be taking the situation lightly. According to the statement, the agency plans to file legal complaints against Garo Sero under various charges, including defamation, stalking, cybersexual crimes, and spreading manipulated content. 'This isn't just defamation—it's a serious criminal act using artificial intelligence to ruin someone's life,' the agency emphasized. 'We will pursue every legal avenue to ensure that the individuals responsible are held accountable.' For all the latest K-drama, K-pop, and Hallyuwood updates, keep following our coverage here.
