'It was not an easy decision': Singer-songwriter Garron Noone cancels remainder of Irish tour
Comedian and singer-songwriter Garron Noone has cancelled the remainder of his nationwide tour this year due to ill health. The Mayo native, who boasts 2.1 million Instagram followers and 2 million on TikTok, and who has become well known for his 'Follow me, I'm delicious' tagline, posted a statement on his official Facebook page, Garron Music, on Tuesday evening. 'I'm very sorry to have to post this. Thank you all for everything,' he posted, sharing a statement about the cancellation of all remaining shows. 'After a lot of thought, I'm very sad to have to make the difficult decision to reschedule all of my gigs for this year. It was not an easy decision to make,' he said in the statement. 'Many of you will be aware of some of the issues I've dealt with in the past and unfortunately, over the last few months I have been dealing with a lot of these issues again. 'It has gotten to a point where I really need to put all of my energy into getting back on track.' All tickets will remain valid for each rescheduled show, and those who would prefer a refund can contact their ticket provider. Noone said he is disappointed that he won't be able to meet his fans on tour, but hopes to be back in 2026 for the rescheduled shows. 'I'm very sorry to everyone that was coming to see me, I understand many of you will have made arrangements to be at the gigs,' he said. 'If it was possible, I would love to do them, but I have to accept that it isn't possible at this time. Thank you to everyone for all their support over the last couple of years, my break from making videos will also likely be a bit longer than I had first hoped, but I look forward to chatting to you all again soon.' Last month, Noone announced that he would be taking a 'small little social media break' for a couple of months. Noone said at the time that he had been putting a lot of pressure on himself to feel worthy of the number of people watching his videos and said he just needed to get his head out of the game for a little while and 'come back nice and fresh with my lovely new ideas'. He said any videos that appear on his social media accounts over the coming months are sponsored posts for which the dates had already been locked in. 'Hopefully it won't be too long after that until I'm back. Until I see ye again, Stay Delicious," he said. Earlier this year Noone spoke on The Late Late Show about his experience with agoraphobia and panic attacks. "Eventually got to the point where I couldn't leave the house without having a panic attack. I spent about five years completely housebound, having panic attacks every day," he said.
