Texas A&M's Gavin Grahovac had successful surgery and has started physical therapy
On Friday, it was reported that Texas A&M sophomore third baseman Gavin Gravhovac underwent successful labrum surgery earlier in the week.
SEC Unfiltered's baseball analyst, Harrison Cordell Fant, confirmed that the SEC Freshman of the Year had his procedure completed by Los Angeles Dodgers team doctor Neal ElAttrache and has already started physical therapy. Prior to being shut down for the season, he played in six games and collected five hits, two home runs, and six RBI.
In his absence, transfer Wyatt Henseler slid over to third base, and true freshman Sawyer Farr was inserted into the starting lineup at second base. Kaeden Kent took over as the leadoff hitter and has filled in admirably to sure up that spot in the lineup while coach Michael Earley works on finding a way to put his hitters in the best position to be successful.
We wish Grahovac a speedy recovery and can't wait to see him on the field again.
Texas A&M will be back on the field against New Mexico State for Game 3 on Sunday, March 9, at 1:00 p.m. CT. The game will be streamed on the SEC Network.
