Yankton defeats Lincoln in Game of Week, splits DH
YANKTON, S.D. (KELO) — No. 5 Yankton claimed a 4-2 win over reigning state champion Lincoln Tuesday night in the KELOLAND Sports Game of the Week.
The Patriots scored one run in each of the first two innings to build a 2-0 lead. The Bucks got on the board in the third with one to cut the gap in half. Gavin Johnson delivered a two-run double in the fourth to give Yankton a 3-2 lead in the fourth inning. The hosts added an insurance run in the fifth.

Twice the Patriots had the bases loaded with one out and managed just one run in those two innings and left the bases juiced both times.
Lincoln won the first game of the doubleheader 3-0 and limited Yankton to just two hits.
