TOWIE star joins rival reality TV show eight years after finding fame

A former TOWIE star is preparing to make his reality TV comeback by joining rival TV show Geordie Shore eight years after leaving the spotlight. Jack Rigden, 32, was a familiar face on TOWIE back in 2017, but he was dropped from the show that year after failing to strike up an on-screen romance. However, now the boyfriend of Geordie Shore beauty, Abbie Holborn, 27, reality TV producers have found a new interest in his life. Now he's been invited to make a comeback on Geordie Shore, which will see him fly out to Lisbon, Portugal to film for a few days. A source told The Sun: 'MTV bosses were over the moon when Jack agreed to fly out to Lisbon. 'He will be filming for a few days alongside the cast for series 26 in Portugal.' The source explained that as Jack's romance is getting serious with Abbie, producers thought it would be a perfect addition to the show. They also admitted that Abbie is 'desperate' to see her boyfriend as so many of the other cast members are joined by their partners. The newcomer won't just have Abbie for company either and will be joined by his best friend Jordan Brook and Sophie Kasaei, who are already enjoying the Portuguese sunshine. Jack is not the only former star making a comeback on the upcoming series of Geordie Shore and it will also see Gaz Beadle and Aaron Chalmers return to the spotlight. Like Jack, Gaz has not been in the spotlight for eight years, despite being a Geordie Shore original. Jack and Abbie are reported to have initially begun as friends before their connection turned romantic at the end of 2024. Then, in February, they decided to make it official. Sophie told The Sun that she was 'really happy' with her new boyfriend and admits that she is glad they started out as friends first. Prior to finding love again, Abbie was seen locking lips with ex Scotty T in a first-look trailer of the most recent series that was shot in Thailand Abbie previously admitted that she had been 'close to a nervous breakdown' over her love life in the past. She said that things got so bad that at one point she thought she was going to be single forever. Prior to finding love again, Abbie was seen locking lips with ex Scotty T in a first-look trailer of the most recent series that was shot in Thailand. In a piece to the camera, Scotty can be seen wearing a black baseball cap backwards and a nude shirt which he left unbuttoned to flash his abs. Showcasing his glowing tan, Scotty finished off his look with a pair of black shorts and told the camera: 'Turbo T is back baby. Did you miss me?'

Geordie Shore legends pictured together for first time in NINE years as they finally return to filming

GEORDIE Shore's original cast members have reunited for the first time in nearly a decade, confirming they are officially back filming. Kyle Christie, 32, Aaron Chalmers, 37, Gaz Beadle, 37, Jay Gardner, 39, and Ricci Guarnaccio, 38, were pictured together in matching black tuxedos. 5 It marks the first time the five reality stars have been seen together since their time on the MTV show. The image, which is sure to spark a wave of nostalgia among fans, was shared by Ricci on Instagram. He wrote in his caption: 'THE BOYS ARE BAAAAAAACK BAAAABY!' While the rest of the group opted for classic tuxedo looks, Ricci stood out by wearing an unbuttoned black shirt, showing off his chest. The reunion marks a major moment for the long-running reality series, which first aired in 2011 and became known for its explosive arguments, chaotic nights out and loyal fanbase. Jay was part of the original cast and appeared in the first three series before returning briefly in later years. Ricci joined in series two and was known for his turbulent relationship with Vicky Pattison, leaving after series five. Gaz became known for his womanising ways and long-running on-off relationship with Charlotte Crosby, exiting in 2017. Aaron joined in series eight and was involved in several major storylines, including romances with Marnie Simpson and Chloe Ferry, before leaving in 2017 to pursue MMA. Kyle appeared in series eight and nine, remembered for his dramatic relationship with Holly Hagan, and returned for a stint in series 12. Geordie Shore star Holly Hagan cruelly mum shamed as she shares toddler's The Sun revealed this week the familiar faces would be returning for Geordie Shore's 26th series. This series, there'll be lots going on - including Chloe Ferry's 30th, which will take place in Lisbon. And then of course, the reality star cast will jump over to Italy for Kyle and Vicky's wedding. But just as things couldn't get much juicer, we exclusively revealed Gaz and Aaron are going to be returning to the hit show. Gaz initially quit the show in 2017 after six years when his ex-wife, Emma McVey, fell pregnant with their first child, Chester. They went on to have a daughter, Primrose, in 2019 but split up in 2023. Gaz is now in a relationship with Maia Ellen, while Emma is with boyfriend James Staszewsky. Last year, Gaz distanced himself from a return by suggesting fatherhood was taking up all of his time. Speaking to Fairplay Exchange, Gary said: 'I've always said that about Geordie Shore, I love all the cast and Geordie Shore got me where I am. I don't have a bad word to say about it. 'The thing for me is, I'm not just free now, I've got things to think about, I've got kids, they're at school.' But clearly he's ready for a comeback, alongside another legend of the Shore - Aaron. The reality TV star left the Geordie Shore house in 2017 to become a professional MMA fighter - where he amassed a 5-2 record. Gaz Beadle's best Geordie Shore moments A kiss on the head The first ever episode laid the groundwork for the debauchery to come. Party animal Holly Hagan, the n18, dashed into the Geordie Shore compound and quickly became acquainted with Gaz's member, dubbed the parsnip, giving it a kiss. Fight night Ricci Guarnaccio - who joined the show in the second series - and Gaz had a memorable scrap after not seeing eye to eye. The argument - which happened at Vicky Pattison's birthday - got so bad that security had to break them up, and they were suspended from the show. In a look back, James Tinsdale said: "I remember the crew, we saw them physically jump in!" And Charlotte Crosby added: "The crew members could've got hurt too!" Wet and wild Though it's all now a distant memory, Charlotte Crosby and Gaz were once a powerhouse reality TV couple. While they weren't shy sharing intimate moments on the show, one messy (and gross) night is hard to forget. After the couple bizarrely romped in Ricci Guarnaccio's nana's bed Charlotte let one off, much to Gaz's digust. She found it so hilarious she end up weeing the bed leaving them both soaked. Geordie Shore star Aaron and Talia Oatway share Romeo, four, and Maddox, three, together. They also have a son Oakley, two, who has Apert Syndrome, a genetic disorder that causes fusion of the skull, hands, and feet bones. The former couple got together in 2017 but split just months after Oakley's birth. And that's not all, as Sophie Kasei is also set to return after quitting. Sophie Kasaei, 35, has done a dramatic u-turn and returned to Geordie Shore, just weeks after quitting in a pay row, with her team having come to a resolution. The Sun understands the pay dispute was resolved after eleventh-hour talks with bosses. A source revealed: "Execs were determined to keep Sophie in the show and didn't want to lose her. "After some last minute meetings with her team, they managed to secure a deal everyone was happy with. "Sophie and her boyfriend Jordan Brook missed the beginning of filming as the majority of the cast jetted out to Portugal last week, but they stunned the cast over the weekend when they turned up to surprise everyone." The Sun contacted MTV for comment at the time. 5 5 5 5
