'Israeli' strike kills journalist in Gaza with husband, five children
Gaza Media Office in Gaza announced Wednesday that the number of journalists killed since the start of the war has risen to 231, following the deaths of two more Palestinian journalists: Walaa al-Jaabari and Tamer al-Za'anin. Walaa al-Jaabari, a journalist and editor who had worked with several media outlets, was killed along with her husband and five of their children when their home was struck in an overnight 'Israeli' airstrike. Earlier this week, photojournalist Tamer al-Za'anin was shot and killed on Monday by an 'Israeli' force during the abduction of Dr. Marwan al-Hems, director of field hospitals in Gaza. In response to the killings, the media office strongly condemned what it described as the systematic targeting and killing of journalists by 'Israeli' forces. It called on the International Federation of Journalists, the Arab Journalists Union, and media organizations worldwide to denounce the ongoing crimes against journalists in Gaza. The office also held the Israeli Occupation and the United States government fully responsible for what it called 'brutal crimes.' It urged the international community and press freedom organizations to take immediate action to stop what it described as genocide, and to protect journalists and media workers in Gaza from assassination and targeted killings.

Israel Destroys Over 240 Residential Buildings in Gaza
More than 240 residential units have been destroyed in recent days by Israeli airstrikes across the Gaza Strip, according to the government media office in Gaza, which condemned the attacks as part of a deliberate campaign to displace civilians and dismantle entire communities. Ismail al-Thawabta, Director General of the Gaza Media Office, told Anadolu Agency that the surge in targeted strikes on civilian homes reflects what he called Israel's 'scorched-earth policy' — one aimed at forcing Palestinians from their homes, devastating their livelihoods, and creating widespread fear and trauma. 'This criminal behavior signals a calculated intent to escalate genocide and enforce the forced displacement of unarmed civilians,' al-Thawabta said, noting that the demolished units sheltered entire families, including children and the elderly, with no military presence in the vicinity — contrary to Israeli claims. He described the attacks as part of a broader message from Israel: 'Surrender or face total annihilation.' But he emphasized that such tactics would fail. 'Our people, who have withstood decades of occupation, will not be broken by bulldozers or bombs,' he said. Al-Thawabta called on the international community to urgently intervene to stop what he referred to as 'this ongoing bloody madness' and protect civilians facing repeated assaults. Since launching its military campaign in October 2023, Israel has killed more than 54,400 Palestinians, most of them women and children, according to local health authorities. Aid groups have repeatedly warned of famine conditions across the enclave, where humanitarian access remains critically limited. Israel has rejected calls for a ceasefire despite mounting international pressure, including from the United Nations and humanitarian organizations. Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant on charges of war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza. Israel is also currently facing a genocide case at the International Court of Justice, further heightening global scrutiny of its military conduct in the besieged territory.

Gaza authorities warn 65,000 children at risk of death amid ongoing Israeli blockade
GAZA CITY — The Gaza government warned Friday that more than 65,000 children are at immediate risk of starvation due to Israel's continued blockade and closure of aid crossings, which local authorities described as part of an intentional starvation policy affecting the entire population of the Gaza Strip. In a statement, the Gaza Media Office accused Israel of 'engineering a famine' by preventing the entry of more than 39,000 aid trucks carrying essential supplies, including food, fuel, and medicine, over the past two months. It called the blockade a 'systematic crime' against 2.4 million civilians and a violation of international humanitarian law. 'All bakeries in Gaza have been shut down for 40 consecutive days, leaving civilians without access to bread,' the statement said. 'Over 65,000 children now face starvation deaths from malnutrition as Israel weaponizes hunger against civilians.' The blockade, which has lasted 70 days, has led to a near-total collapse of Gaza's humanitarian and healthcare infrastructure, according to local Gaza government called on the United Nations and international community to intervene immediately to halt the blockade, reopen Gaza's border crossings, and ensure the delivery of life-saving humanitarian warning comes as UN officials sharply criticized a new Israeli aid plan for Gaza announced earlier this week, warning it fails to meet humanitarian standards and could worsen the crisis. Human rights organizations and aid agencies have echoed those Israel launched its military operation in Gaza in October 2023, nearly 52,800 Palestinians have been killed, the majority of them women and children, according to local health International Criminal Court (ICC) issued arrest warrants last November for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, accusing them of war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.
