Deer recovering well after getting trapped in fence in Nottinghamshire
A deer that got trapped in a fence is recovering well after being rescued, a charity has said. Brinsley Animal Rescue said the deer was found at the edge of Gedling Country Park, Nottinghamshire, on 1 August, after the deer had become trapped in strong wire charity said the deer was panicked but calmed down once he was covered and volunteers managed to free Beresford, co-founder of Brinsley Animal Rescue, said the charity was "truly thankful" to a woman who found the injured deer and stayed with it until volunteers from the charity could attend.
The animal rescue charity added the deer had been seen by a vet for a full evaluation and was now recovering Beresford added: "We do see a lot of injured wildlife so to have a success is great, it does lift our spirits and make it all worthwhile."
