Dhamar's agricultural sector celebrates al-Wilaya anniversary
Dhamar – Saba: The Agricultural Sector in Dhamar governorate today held a cultural event to commemorate the anniversary of al-Wilayat Day. The event, organized by several agricultural entities including the General Company for Potato Seed Production and the General Authority for Agricultural Research and Extension, featured Dr. Abed al-Bail, Vice Chairman of the General Authority for Agricultural Research and Extension. He underscored the importance of celebrating this anniversary, highlighting its significance in reminding attendees of the importance of al-Wilayat (guardianship/allegiance) to God, His Messenger, Imam Ali, and the nation's leading figures. Dr. al-Bail attributed the current successes of the agricultural sector to this sincere commitment, viewing a return to the principle of Wilayat as the correct path towards liberation, victory, and confronting national challenges. Dr. Hassan al-Khawlani, Director General of the Research Sector at the General Authority for Research, discussed the significance and meaning of the principle of guardianship as a pivotal event in Islamic history, establishing the nation's path after the Prophet. He pointed out that the Yemeni people's victories, pride, empowerment, and strength in confronting the "American and Zionist enemy," along with their leadership in supporting the Palestinian people globally, are direct results of Yemenis embracing the path of guardianship. He emphasized that sincere allegiance to God, His Messenger, Imam Ali, and the "flags of guidance" creates a strong, victorious nation resilient against all conspiracies. He also reviewed hostile plots aimed at corrupting the nation and undermining its morals and values. Wheat Harvest Launched in Dhamar
Dhamar (Saba) – Today, the President of the General Authority for Agricultural Research and Extension, Dr. Abdullah Al-Alafi, inaugurated the wheat harvest from the seed multiplication fields of improved winter varieties at the research farm affiliated with the Regional Station for Central Highlands Research in Dhamar. During the inauguration, the President of the Authority praised the efforts of the research and technical staff at the Central Highlands Research Station, noting that the harvest results highlight the high productivity of wheat varieties: "Buhuth 13, Buhuth 3, Bakil, and Buhuth 37." Agriculture minister discusses agricultural research, pilot plan
Sana'a - Saba: The Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Water Resources, Dr. Radwan Al-Rubai, met with the Chairman of the General Authority for Agricultural Research and Extension, Dr. Abdullah Al-Olafi, and his deputy, Dr. Abed Al-Bail. The meeting reviewed the Authority's research plan for this year, which contributes to developing research on agricultural products included in the import bill program, the challenges it faces, and the means to address them to achieve the desired goals. Minister Al-Rubai emphasized that developing research is one of the most important priorities being worked on to achieve a development renaissance. He highlighted the importance of organizing and managing research in various fields and protecting resources in accordance with the methodology of the Quranic Project. He urged institutions operating in the agricultural and fisheries sectors to redouble their efforts and coordinate with the General Authority for Agricultural Research and Extension and the General Authority for Marine Science Research to benefit from and develop previous research outcomes to enhance local production.
