Iraq contracts Linxon to repair electrical substations in Baghdad and Diyala
Baghdad ( – Switzerland-based Linxon was recently given a contract by Iraq for repairing three power transmission substations in the country's capital, Baghdad, and Diyala.
The agreements were signed by Riyad Uraibi Muklf, General Director of the General Company for Electrical Energy Transmission in the Middle Region, and Hassan Merhi, Managing Director of Linxon in the Middle East and Asia Pacific region.
There are two stations in Baghdad and one in the province of Diyala. Linxon will be modernizing the protection and control systems as well as the machinery and systems utilized in the three stations.
The overall transmission capacity of the stations is 400 kV.
AtkinsRéalis and Hitachi Energy jointly own Linxon, a company that specializes in electrical AC substation construction.
