Peter Andre shows off new hairstyle as Junior gives opinion of dad's new look
Peter Andre took to social media to show off his latest new look and was met with a huge wave of praise by fans - including his oldest son, Junior, 19 Peter Andre surprised fans with a new trim haircut. The Mysterious Girl singer, 52, stunned with his new look, with son Junior among those praising his switch-up. The dad-of-five is best known for keeping his wavy hair combed up recently - following his iconic curtains style when he burst onto the scene in the '90s. However, he showed off his new curly offering, much to the delight of his Instagram followers. Sharing the portrait headshot to his social media channel, the star was seen smiling as he donned his curly cut, with a few strands dropping down on his forehead. He asked his followers in the caption of the upload: "Embrace the curl?" Praising his dad, Junior, 19, gushed: "My dad's a handsome guy man. Levendis!!" He added a crying with laughter emoji as well as a love heart. Pete's fans were also clearly loving the look. Another wrote: "Yes ... and the suggestion of silver grey ... it suits you," while a second added: "Love you with curls Peter," alongside a flame and fire emoji. A third jokingly penned: "MYSTERIOUS CURLS!!!!," and a fourth said: "Plot twist: the curl embraced you." While Junior was fully supportive of his dad, the Australian singer showed the close-knit ties of his family as he praised his daughter Princess' huge career move. Pete shares his two eldest kids with ex-wife Katie Price. Now, their 17-year-old daughter is set to get her own taste of fame as she will be the centre of a fly-on-the-wall show. And dad Peter couldn't be more proud. Speaking to the Mirror last month, Peter beamed: "We've been filming for Princess's new reality show and it's been great fun for us all. Obviously, as a family we're no strangers to reality TV - but I'm so proud of what Princess is doing now. I think people are going to really enjoy seeing it. "There's a few surprises in there, too, but I don't want to spoil it for anyone, so you'll have to watch it when it comes out - sorry!" And the family also rallied around Peter when his latest movie was criticised. Peter's s film role on Jafaican sparked fierce debate online, with critics accusing it of cultural insensitivity - while he defends it as just 'acting' The family were seen at the Genesis Cinema for the private VIP event of the movie's release and posed for photographs ahead of the much-discussed film's debut. In the film, Peter plays a character named Gary Buckle - also known as 'Gazza' . The character is a London scammer who adopts a Jamaican identity to pull off a transatlantic fraud.

Peter Andre's son Junior is his double as they celebrate at his new movie premiere with star-studded guest list
PETER Andre's eldest son Junior could have been mistaken for his dad as he walked the red carpet at the singer's movie premiere. Junior, 19, was snapped alongside 52-year-old Peter at the star-studded screening for his new film Jafaican. 5 5 5 Wearing a stonewash denim jacket, white T-shirt and matching jeans, Junior was all smiles as he posed for photographers at the VIP event. With his jet black hair brushed forwards and an unshaved face, he looked like Peter's double on the red carpet. The pair's resemblance was clear to see as they stood side-by-side at Genesis Cinema in London. Junior, whose mother is Peter's ex wife Katie Price, even could have been mistaken for his dad back in his Mysterious Girl era. Peter was also joined by his eldest daughter Princess, 17, who was also on hand to show her support. Princess oozed glamour in a sophisticated black jumpsuit with a grey leather jacket slouched over her shoulders and matching thigh-high boots. In the crime-comedy, which is directed by Fredi Nwaka and is out now in ODEON cinemas, Peter has taken on the role of Gary Buckle. Gary is a London crook who is risking his life to pull off a heist to cover his nan's care. This week, Peter sat down with The Sun to discuss playing conman Gazza, who must master a Caribbean accent and culture to impersonate a notorious Jamaican gangster for a £3million payout. Chatting in an interview from his Surrey home, he said: 'When I read the script, I spent the whole time laughing. Peter Andre opens up on bullying and racism he's suffered after being forced to delete his 'racist' Jamaican gangster movie trailer It was warm, with a deep, heartfelt message about what someone would do to care for the person that they love. It was also a beautiful tribute to Jamaica. 'But for me, working on Jafaican has been a dream come true." Although he is best known for his singing career, Peter explained how he had trained in acting as a child. 'I studied acting as a kid before going into music from 16, but I always knew I was going to come back to it," he admitted. "I always said to my dad, 'When I get to my 40s, I'm moving back into film, that's what I want to do'.' Jafaican has already been met with a heap of positive reviews and Peter is now making plans to star in the sequel. It comes after he spent two months filming the first instalment in Jamaica, his 'bucket list' location, using local crew and businesses to feed money back into the economy. HITTING BACK Meanwhile, Peter has also spoken out about the bullying and racism he fell victim to as a Greek-Cypriot growing up in Australia. His comments came after controversy around cultural identity was sparked over his fake Jamaican accent and dreadlocks when the trailer dropped last month. "It gave me a deep understanding of what's truly offensive and what's not," Peter said. 'If someone dressed up with a curly wig and a big nose, doing a Greek accent, I'd probably laugh – it depends on the intention. "But if someone said 'I hate you Greeks' or made hateful comments about our skin, that's where the line is. That's racism.' 5 5

Jafaican star Peter Andre breaks his silence on problematic movie's backlash
Peter Andre has spoken out about the backlash against his new film Jafaican, which sees the Mysterious Girl singer portray a wheeler-dealer who poses as a violent Jamaican gangster Singer-turned-actor Peter Andre has hit back at critics slamming his latest movie Jafaican, in which he stars as a faux gangster. The heartthrob behind Mysterious Girl takes centre stage in Fredi Nwaka's latest comedy romp – playing hustler Gary Buckle. The character tries to score a windfall by pretending to be mob boss Denton 'Kill Man' Powell donning a fake dreadlock wig and putting on a Jamaican accent. While Jafaican has garnered positive reviews since its unveiling, the flick has been marred by accusations of cultural appropriation and being labelled "tone-deaf" by some viewers. Nevertheless, Peter Andre rebuffed the backlash aiming at his latest venture. The pop icon advises skeptics: "I think it's very easy to criticise something based on a trailer. I would say: 'Go and watch the film first,' you will see what the film is about and you will see the context." He continued to tell the Daily Star: "A critic should also be able to criticise, so I understand how it is." Andre, acknowledging that the film won't be everyone's cup of tea, encouraged naysayers to view it before casting judgment. In defence of his work, Peter commented: "In regards to critics, I think it is really important for people to all have different opinions. "I don't think it is right to just expect everyone to like what you're doing, but I've always said that, you know, in anything I've ever done I've always had people saying: 'Don't do that, you shouldn't do that, that's not the right song to release, that's not a good video clip." The artist-turned-thespian, acclaimed for roles in the likes of Mr. Peabody and Sherman, David Brent: Life on the Road and Keith Lemon: The Film, divulged his reasons for embracing his latest character. Refusing to be swayed by naysayers, he stated: "If I sat and listened to everybody telling me what not to do, I would never have achieved anything! I think sometimes you have to just go outside of your comfort zone and push yourself." The movie chronicles the mishaps of a London crook who must scrape together £35,000 to pay for his grandmother's care home expenses. When he catches wind of a heist that could solve all his problems, Gary jets off to Jamaica, only to find himself in a downward spiral. As locals cotton on to his impersonation of Denton 'Kill Man' Powell to snare a fortune, Gary finds himself in a tight spot. 'Jafaican' is currently showing in select ODEON Cinemas. Peter's kids Princess and Junior were by his side at a recent a red carpet screening for his latest event in London saw the family attend the Genesis Cinema for the private VIP event, posing for photographs ahead of the much-discussed film's debut. While promoting the movie on Australian TV earlier in the month, Peter said of the criticism: "Well, to be fair, I mean, I think it's good to get all sorts of feedback. I mean, this is not ... it's my first lead role but I've done quite a few roles before. And all of them, I've played different characters."
