Jimmy Vesey Signs Contract With Team In Switzerland's National League
Jimmy Vesey signed a two-year contract with Geneve-Servette HC of Switzerland's National League on Monday.
It was reported just a few days ago that Vesey may play in the KHL next season with SKA St. Petersburg reportedly being the frontrunners to land the veteran forward, but he ultimately opted to play in Switzerland instead.
Vesey saw his role with the New York Rangers drastically decrease over the course of last season until he was traded along with Ryan Lindgren to the Colorado Avalanche.
With the Avalanche, the 32-year-old forward just played in 10 games as he was not able to carve out an everyday role in Colorado.
In six seasons playing for the Rangers, Vesey recorded 78 goals, 69 assists, and 147 points while averaging 13:45 minutes per game.
