Strategic Cultural Partnership Established In 2023, Saudi Minister of Culture Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan and Italian counterpart Gennaro Sangiuliano signed a strategic partnership agreement. This accord aims to enhance cultural exchange between the two nations, promoting mutual understanding and collaboration. Recently, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni visited AlUla, exploring cultural and historical landmarks, including Hegra, a UNESCO World Heritage site. This visit underscores the deepening cultural ties and shared commitment to heritage conservation. Shared Vision for Heritage Development RCU CEO Abeer Al Akel emphasized the profound historical depth shared by AlUla and Pompeii. She stated that both aspire to develop through international cooperation in heritage conservation, management, and global cultural promotion, aligning with efforts to enhance sustainable tourism.
